Suspect confirmed to have accused DPD of taking his child and accusing him of being a terrorist then cut negotiations. Could be the motive.

Current situation and recap - Suspects opened fire on headquarters before ramming police car and firing on officers inside - police chase lead to present location where another shooting occurred. Police HQ and scene of standoff being treated as active shooter areas. Next briefing will be in the next hour or two.

It could be a ruse to make the police think they are motion triggered when there is in fact a hidden agent operating the detonators from a vantage point. The bags could also be unevenly loaded, with some containing mere pipe bombs while the others contain much more serious anti-personnel devices. A lot is up in the air right now.
