No, I wouldn't be surprised. It's called the South. Of course it's acceptable there, they're poorly educated. It's sad really.
i'm from the south and i'll be you a good ten bucks i did better on the SAT than you (no period)
Oh the irony.
Oh the irony.
That's a sentence fragment.
Good, the fewer people giving assholes like that money, the better. Though it is Texas, and part of me dies inside when I imagine 9/10 people that hear that ad through the radio in their pickup trucks probably scream "YEEHAWW FUCK THAT MUSLIM!"
Why someone would take a CCW course from somebody so incredibly stupid is beyond me.
This guy is about as big of a jackass as I could comprehend an instructor to be. Even though his statement is full of stupidity and hate, he shouldn't have his license revoked. That is against the 1st Amendment.
-sigh- Ignorance can be fixed. Stupidity cannot.
In related news, a Texas man was shot to death by a Muslim Democrat who didn't properly handle his concealed firearm
Even though his statement is full of stupidity and hate, he shouldn't have his license revoked. They would revoke the license for that, not for simply saying he would do such things.
That's a sentence fragment.
In dialogue there is no such thing a sentence fragment. Or it doesn't matter because you can't expect every character/person to have perfect english.

If he does get his license revoked, he'll just spin it as big government taking away his freedom.

I live in Texas, and the last time I checked, 9/10 of us don't have huge Ford, Chevy or Dodge trucks with monster tires and go whooping and hollering around town while firing guns into the air every time some idiot on the radio spews racist remarks on a commercial. The majority of Texans are conservative and not assholes, like people elsewhere seem to think we are. Mostly because they're ignorant and read all of the liberal crap bias that are reporting on lies, embellishment and hearsay to make us look bad. Most of the idiots making those articles about us haven't stepped foot here and know nothing about us.

I'd put unnecessarily large truck driving, gun-toting, very religious rednecks at about 6/10. Though even most of the people I knew there would have thought this was in bad taste.
Good, the fewer people giving assholes like that money, the better. If you've lived here you can say all you want, but what you hear on the news is not as common as you want it to be. The state is one of the biggest and spans vast areas of nothing-ness, were going to have our share of idiots. Though you have to remember we also have about 3 major universities, 4 major cities, NASA and quite a lot of other high tech industry. We have the biggest wind farm in the world which generates more than half of the power California generates using wind, and we get 10% of our energy from nuclear power. Other than California, Texas is probably the only state that would be able to successfully operate as a separate sovereign nation tomorrow if the Union suddenly dissolved. We may talk funny and drive big trucks, but Texas really isn't all that different than the rest of the country. Though I don't deny we have problems in general education that need fixing.
I don't live in the city, I live in a semi-rural area bordering a medium sized city on one side and several small towns (under 5,000) on the other. I don't know anyone around here who wouldn't find it distasteful. About the only excitement we get here are the rowdy Hispanics/Latinos in the run-down trailer park over yonder on Friday and Saturday blaring their music so loud that you can hear it for over a mile away. They usually stop at midnight so it doesn't bother us at all.
Bigots opinion should never be respected. If the guy had made this advertisement in Singapore, he would be arrested for sedition act and racism
Listen to it for yourself. (Yes that's really him in the picture.) Also from another article where they interviewed him
Keller said he wasn't aware of any Muslims in Mason County, nor could a handful of locals name one.

Bigots opinion should never be respected. If the guy had made this advertisement in Singapore, he would be arrested for sedition act and racism
From your prior posts, freedom of speech doesnt seem to be at a premium in Singapore. I dont like what he said, but punishing all bad speech is dangerous ground, as far as controlling the population. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] I do think his licsense should be revoked, due to that fact Keegs posted. I knew it was more than likely illegal and that is proof.
Bigots opinion should never be respected. If the guy had made this advertisement in Singapore, he would be arrested for sedition act and racism
Singapore also canes people for vandalism, and executes people for having small amounts of illegal drugs. I don't their legal system is one we should be copying.

That reminds me of a ceartin government. Do they have executions on prime time?
Texas, world capitol for idiocy.
Bigots opinion should never be respected. If the guy had made this advertisement in Singapore, he would be arrested for sedition act and racism
not exactly something to brag about lol [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] also, what part of the first amendment covers refusing service to someone based on their religion or who they voted for?
Bigots opinion should never be respected. If the guy had made this advertisement in Singapore, he would be arrested for sedition act and racism
thanks i now never wanna go to singapore
not exactly something to brag about lol [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] also, what part of the first amendment covers refusing service to someone based on their religion or who they voted for?
It doesnt, in fact Im sure it was illegal. It was merely about what he said. Cant be punished for what you say, but in this case you can get punished for foolish actions.
It doesnt, in fact Im sure it was illegal. It was merely about what he said. Cant be punished for what you say, but in this case you can get punished for foolish actions.
if that's the case then a bunch of muslims should go to him for the course then get his ass in trouble when he refuses.
He will more than likely be in trouble soon enough. Its a state crime, so pubicly saying that was a bad idea for him.
Where in the 1st amendment does it say you are allowed to deny services to someone based on thier race, creed, or political orientation? He provides a voluntary service, and people are more than able to choose not to spend their money with him.
why the fuck would a muslim live in texas this is like being an american that just crossed the north korean border
Do you expect the people of Texas to get an education and perform highly trained positions?
