I was suspended and got community service for taking out 4 chavs beating up a friend. They gotaway with it ¬_¬

He protected his family with valor, but went a bit too far when he brain-damaged the remaining attacker. At most he should've just incapacitated the guy, not fuck him up royally.
But nevertheless, he did well on the protecting his family part.

There is self defense in your home, throwing a coffee table at their face and chasing them away.
But then there is getting your brother, chasing the guy down highstreet and then breaking his skull into 3 places with a cricket bat. At first I didn't agree with the 30 month sentance, I thought it was a bit excessive, but actually it seems pretty reasonable for what is basically attempted murder.
Having the hostage takers not locked away aswell is unjustifiable though. They should go down for a long time for that.
