I'm a pirate. EDIT: Not like WAREZ Pirate, I just say that to feel cool. I'm such a looser :(
-snip-
Using P2P network doesn't mean you're a pirate. I've recently downloaded Ubuntu via torrent, am I a pirate now?
I can't tell if you're a troll or completely serious...
hoyl shit it's working
The big shot music corporations are oppressing the creative spirit and free will of the people by making us pay for music. We should get all of our music for free. Copyrights and trademarks are illegal and are capitalist shams made to get more money than other people. What gives them the right to tell us we need to pay for music? It's art, and we should get all art for free!
Sure thing, I'll hand this right too you for no cash at all: 'Art should be free'. Pfft.
Please note this is made by tracking P2P, not actually checking if the stuff is illegal, so could be legal torrents, or games like WoW that allows you to download patches via p2p :v:

...Compare that to Chinas 95%. :v:
I'm a pirate.
Probably not one of the best things to be saying here.
Agree'd, I do art all the time, and If I'm working on a picture for hours, I sure as hell am going to want to make a profit off of it.
Capitalist scum.
I'm a pirate. I'm damn proud to be one.
Agree'd, I do art all the time, and If I'm working on a picture for hours, I sure as hell am going to want to make a profit off of it.
While art is art and music is art, there are different processes for each art. A painting like the mona lisa is a one of a kind, the recording of a band song is not however and can be played all over the world all at the same time and sound and look just like the original. The mona lisa? Totally different story. Don't compare one art form to another and put the same limits on it. They're all different. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] Also, I bet you have no fucking clue why that painting is worth so much, or what the most expensive painting today is. I can show you a painting of fucking squares that sold for millions, will you defend the cost of art then? Probably not. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] And again, I really, truly fucking hate having to explain this to facepunch again but I will because I swear, no one reads. Why is it okay to pirate music? Here's why it is okay to pirate music. Musicians don't make money when they sell an album, not real money, a few cents, literally, yes. Real money? No. They make money from touring. Do you think a record label will push a random bands new record very hard? No, they don't, I've been there, I've done that, they don't give a shit. Who does? Fans that are across the world who can't possibly legally buy your new music. So they pirate it, for free. And like it. And now you have new fans, who will spread the music like pirates do and guess what? More fans. Now, if you don't know already, it costs fuck all to make an album these days, even a quality one can be done at home now. And if you also didn't know, selling albums makes no money as I explained already. What does? Touring. What gives them venues to tour? New fans. How do new fans get music that they can't buy because they've no access to and no intent to buy anyways? Piracy. How does a band get new fans? Piracy. Is piracy bad? Fuck no. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] It's like common sense and reason leave the average facepuncher when it comes to dealing with a problem like this.
What many people don't understand is that a lot of pirating on the internet isn't just done through P2P, it's done through Usenet and newsgroups also.
And this is why you're awesome Abyss! [editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
What many people don't understand is that a lot of pirating on the internet isn't just done through P2P, it's done through Usenet and newsgroups also.
And mp3 rippers.
