Townhall protests against "Obamacare" turned into battle zones

Pretty much this. We don't need to be spending anymore money on something that won't really help anything. I hate the idea of universal Healthcare. Things seem fine for me, if I need to see a doctor, I go see a doctor and get treated. I don't want to be sitting on some waiting list for surgery if I ever needed it.
If providing health care for people who are unable to work and therefore unable to purchase health care for themselves isn't a valid use of government money, I don't know what is.
We need to stop throwing money at people who don't earn it. My opinion, fuck the poor. It's every man for themselves.
Hell during the Obama campaign some African American woman was going around truly believing that she would no longer have to pay for her food, gas, taxes, etc because Obama was gonna pick up the tab. If anything let's focus on education and social services so less fuck-tards like that are walking around.

Yeah except the part where you don't have to choose a public option. You might be fine but how about the millions of uninsured? How about the millions unsatisfied with their current health insurance that fucks them over daily? I know my family gets fucked over by insurance all the time.

Efficiency and progress is ours once more
Now that we have the Neutron bomb
It's nice and quick and clean and gets things done
Away with excess enemy
But no less value to property
No sense in war but perfect sense at home:
The sun beams down on a brand new day
No more welfare tax to pay
Unsightly slums gone up in flashing light
Jobless millions whisked away
At last we have more room to play
All systems go to kill the poor tonight
Gonna
Kill kill kill kill Kill the poor:Tonight
Behold the sparkle of champagne
The crime rate's gone
Feel free again
O' life's a dream with you, Miss Lily White
Jane Fonda on the screen today
Convinced the liberals it's okay
So let's get dressed and dance away the night
While they:
Kill kill kill kill Kill the poor:Tonight
Insurance companies are still out to make money. If they can they will find a way to stop paying out for something then you are screwed. You can a choice still, pay for private or don't pay for public. You will get the same service with public, but if you get both your arms sawn off with public they won't ask you if you want them both reattached.

There's plenty of different insurance companies to pick from. Just like Communism sounds like a good idea, a universal healthcare system will have it's repercussions regardless. In the end we'll all be fucked over and honestly, I don't feel like joining you or part of the masses.
My insurance is covered by the federal government and I get protection until 21 since my father is a Federal Employee as a firefighter.
My insurance is covered by the federal government and I get protection until 21 since my father is a Federal Employee as a firefighter.
You really shouldn't be lecturing people on private insurance.

As I said before. If Universal Healthcare was something new or untried, I could understand it.
It's going pretty well in the UK :colbert:
You really shouldn't be lecturing people on private insurance.
It's still a private insurer, basically here's what happened, the company has a deal with the government to provide healthcare to it's (The Federal Governments) employees with the exception that it must be cost effective and coverage must be adjusted for those serving the military.
Now I believe you shouldn't be lecturing people on private insurance.

I enjoy having my choice
I choose what to buy, what to eat and drink.
What car I drive. How I act, who I am
I'm sure I can choose my own healthcare plan
I don't need government trying to fucking babysit me

Yes, for people who have the money to pay.
Everyone who complains about Universal Healthcare is making plenty of money to pay for themselves. So they bitch and moan about made up issues like "waiting lists" and "rationing" that hardly ever fucking happen in countries with effective UHC systems. Grow up and realize that there are people with real problems in the world.
I don't need government trying to fucking babysit me
The UK and Canada also have long waiting lists for surgery, the country is slowly sinking financially, and to top it all off Gordon Brown is riding shotgun.

And the choice of choosing a healthcare company is somehow magically gone once a public option appears?
You can say all this fiery rhetoric shit with no logic all you people want, that's not going to change the fact that some kind of major healthcare reform will be passed.
You're all idiots, it's a much better than what you already have.

We still have private health insurace. Except the private hospitals are like hotels with fucking fitted bedrooms where you can book a massage and have a steak every night.

Just because I'm well off as a middle classed citizen doesn't mean I need to care about other people's problems. When it all comes down to it, I need to worry about myself at the end of the day.
The UK and Canada also have long waiting lists for surgery,
If their health care systems suck so much, then why are people in the UK and Canada healthier than people in the U.S., and with a higher life expectancy than people in the U.S.?
Tell me how that adds up?
the country is slowly sinking financially, and to top it all off Gordon Brown is riding shotgun.
meanwhile, America is doing just fine financially

A free health system is better, it's not actually free, you pay for it in your plan, but you don't get over the top pricing.

I thought you were supposed to be the beacon of freedom and an example to the rest of the world. Or was that just justification to go shoot some people in a different continent?

Welcome to the issue. You don't give a shit about other people. You've never had a hard life so you just don't give a fuck, and you take the shit you're given for granted. But you're not even 21 one yet, you're still living off daddy's medical care. Do you realize that you rely on other people to fucking survive?
Don't act like you're a damn ubermensch who could survive on his own if need be. You rely on other people to get by.
"I need to worry about myself at the end of the day."
Guess what? So do other people. Other people also worry about you at the end of the day. Do you think you've gotten by with no help?

What does that have to do with anything? Life expectancy is going to differ regardless because of the vastness of the United States, and the difference isn't even that large.
US Expectancy
Male: 74.37 Female: 80.05
UK Expectancy
Male: 77 Female: 82
At most there's a 3 years difference.

Don't you think that if their system had such horrible waiting lists, they would be in a bit of a worse position than they are?
obama's plan is communist, socialist, European and will cause us to suck Chinese dick for 3000 years

I'd expect someone to argue how the fact they don't have as many people might contribute.

Sorry that's very different from other, a bit more private, insurance providers. Where do you think the government gets the money to pay that company? Taxpayers. Who's the taxpayers? The public. Sound familiar?
You're basically living under a similar form of government health care. Must be nice.
Now I believe you shouldn't be lecturing people on private insurance.
I think I can. Alongside the other very ridiculous rates that us New jersey people pay for other types of insurance, health care and dental is one of the most costly. When I graduate high school, I get to look forward to working two or more jobs while attending college just to afford my various insurances (especially auto insurance...it's horrible here), pay for the ridiculous student loan interest, and look forward to paying our infamous high taxes too.
It's interesting, too. Because a lot us wonder where all this money we pay out of our ass goes to. Nothing has improved very much, regarding our government and community. In fact, some regional monopolies on popular things have developed (such as comcast, who have been raising prices at will for decent internet and basically doing whatever the fuck they want).

I've already been looking into my insurance for both car and medical insurance, and you know what? Since I'm being covered until I graduate college (I get a full ride from the Hope Scholarship of Georgia) I'll have worked out my career and I'll select my insurance. Already my average car insurance cost will be $109 and will go down once I turn 25. Health insurance will be around $250 monthly on a more widely known company.
And don't tell me I've never had a hard life, for most of it my dad was only getting paid $35,000 a year and supporting seven people in Southern California. Hell when I was a newborn we lived in a tent for a few months because my dad was getting his Firefighter Certification and had no job. So please shut the fuck up asshole.

Actually, we pay for the insurance, it's cheaper to cover the family than other companies cost. My dad has always had the choice to stick with the one provided by his job or if he wanted to go elsewhere. We did that once with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and that was not nearly as good as the insurance we have now.

Welcome to Capitalism where Companies try to make money. :allears:
the funniest goddamn thing is that a lot of these rabblerousers are geriatrics on medicare or are cranky war veterans in the VA system
I personally support opening Medicare up to everyone (along with some reforms to reduce administration cost and waste), none of this insurance industry dicksucking shit that Obama and a lot of the Dems want.

Look, look at all this money you're able to spend. Look at all that planning you've been able to do because SOMEONE ELSE IS SUPPORTING YOU at this moment.
Poor people don't have that money to spend, that's why they qualify as poor. So what if you can pay for your health care? Other people can't. That's a big fucking issue.
