Look, look at all this money you're able to spend. Look at all that planning you've been able to do because SOMEONE ELSE IS SUPPORTING YOU at this moment.
Poor people don't have that money to spend, that's why they qualify as poor. So what if you can pay for your health care? Other people can't. That's a big fucking issue.
And my point is, Why should people who can support themselves worry about the poor? Ever heard the expression, take care of yourself it's a full time job?

by actively fucking over poor and sick people
hell yeah that's the system for me
It works for average Joe who went to college and can support himself.

Welcome to Capitalism where Companies try to make money. :allears:
What you described in bold isn't insurance covered by the federal government, that's essentially a job benefit with a service provided by a contractor to the feds, whom you instead are paying, according to your description.
In summary you have private healthcare that's regulated.
And yes capitalism is pretty great. I love government corruption

Regardless of what type of government is running a country, there's always someone corrupt somewhere in it. But capitalism has worked a lot better than other systems of government, so I'll stick with it since it's working fine for the most part.
What does that have to do with anything? Life expectancy is going to differ regardless because of the vastness of the United States, and the difference isn't even that large.
US Expectancy
Male: 74.37 Female: 80.05
UK Expectancy
Male: 77 Female: 82
At most there's a 3 years difference.
3 years is pretty much

Well then I guess we're done with the notion of you living under the same kinda of private health care every else has, and is complaining about in the context of it versus universal health care :v:
Also fixed. I'm not exactly sure that the third worlders and chinese workers, whom are manufacturing pretty much all products you use, that are being paid barely enough to live think capitalism is working.
Actually, let me rephrase that. It's working perfectly, just not for them.
Suggestion for Obama, take health care system from a working country, like UK or Sweden or some European country and apply to US = win situation.

I'm tried of government taking control of things we should not be giving more control but taking it away, fuck we should be privatising the fire department, police department and soon the army not the other way around, America is land of the free not the land of control by the government.

This isn't a politeness contest, genius. Just because you're hopelessly dumb (and have to be told that) doesn't somehow make my arguments any less valid. Call it my Über intuition, but I think your "you insulted me, I win" posts are simply a fallback for you.

I think they work as hard, or harder than any other person in the world, and aren't paid enough for it. (it's sort of obvious?)

I have no need to insult you in order to boost my argument.

Yes, I disagree, ergo, I am mentally challenged. Hurf durf to you,.

pack it up libtards, some suit with a bowl-cut says that being being payed 3-cents an hour by wal-mart is awesome because otherwise they'd just be payed 2 cents an hour by other companies. Fucking people over is fine so long as you fuck them over less than anyone else.

Internet Cafe? I'll have you know I am posting this from my biodiesel-powered computer in my glorious socialist commune that's hidden in Southern California. Try not to be so presumptuous next time, buttface.

This right here. We've always been raised on the concept that we all have equal opportunities to do something with ourselves, we all have the capacity to do it, even the poor.

Either way, if the Chinese had a problem with it they wouldn't be working in them. It's like you're playing as big brother trying to do what's best to seem like some hero of the Sweatshop workers and the poor. Why though? Really, they are working and doing what they can to earn money to support themselves, I think you should worry a little less about others and more of yourself.

If they weren't working in them, they'd be starving. But don't tell me that's a justification for them paying chinese workers 3 cents an hour, because it's not. It's profiteering.

As you can see, he now points out that he doesn't insult me, ergo his argument is superior. I mean, it's not about his own personal feelings about himself not insulting me back, he actually has to point it out to try and prove his argument is better.

Haha, 'well you can either work 14 hours a day and get paid a little better then what you normally do soooo'
It comes as no surprise that corporations, using their vast amount of resources, will attempt to dominate (and succeed, quite often) the local markets. They do this by pretty much buying out local small time capitalists and outpaying any local third world government (whom, as you might not be surprised, are quite often poorer then the companies themselves) that tries to combat this. They have supreme economic power. This process has been going on since the dawn of the 20th century.
Sweatshops are an example of foreign companies doing only the minimum, to maximize profit. As far as wages goes, this means paying the least amount they can, but still higher then what localities can offer (which isn't much). Corporations' access to a large amount of resources means they can become a monopoly, or dangerously close to it.
This foreign investment is not 'healthy' capitalism, as it only leads to monopolies and practical monopolies, and a government in the pocket of the corporation. It's appalling you're trying to justify sweatshops, when workers could have much more. In addition, in cases where third world workers tried to get more, they are repressed and/or attacked.
Ultimately, corporations win, workers lose.

What the shit is this? Do you really think they have a choice?
Oh right, the choice between eating dirt and working in a sweatshop. Fantastic.

I was joking...
I seem to be doing just fine, why change it?
Here's the thing: Society != just you. Stop thinking this way.
If you were born with some kind of illness that required constant medical attention, you would be unable to get good insurance because it was a pre-existing condition. You would be on the hook for tens - if not hundreds - of thousands of dollars over the course of your life. You would be unable to make something of yourself because the medical industry would practically own you.
With some sort of public healthcare option, this wouldn't be the case.
I firmly believe you can live in a free society with a non-evasive government, but still have some social services provided by said government. This is NOT a slippery slope to socialism like Fox News wants you to think. That's asinine.
As you can see, he now points out that he doesn't insult me, ergo his argument is superior. I mean, it's not about his own personal feelings about himself not insulting me back, he actually has to point it out to try and prove his argument is better.

I don't need to point it out.
Once somebody starts hurling insults at me, I know I've won.
Imagine if McCain had used a racial slur to insult Obama, or something equivalent, during a live debate. He would have shown that he had lost the debate right then and there.

Yeah, that's how arguments work.
Yeah, that's how arguments work.
Arguments work via intelligent debate. (Or at least they should)
Not mindless insults.
