is it just because im paying attention to headlines this year or are there really just a ton of christmas deaths this year? there's like 2 stories each day, one of which involves multiple people
is it just because im paying attention to headlines this year or are there really just a ton of christmas deaths this year? there's like 2 stories each day, one of which involves multiple people
They are reporting deaths simply because they happened on Christmas.
They are reporting deaths simply because they happened on Christmas.
The media really are parasitic
paramedics getting pissed at parties instead of doing their job AKA business as usual
Do paramedics normally travel alone? I thought they normally came in groups of at least two. Maybe the concern is that he actually caused the fire (y'know, 'cause a lot of the time it turns out that the arsonists are actually some of the first responders to a fire).
I hope you all burn in hell for that, show some fucking decency. Every Christmas this guy lives by at whatever event he is at, he has to face the fact that this is when his family died. On Christmas. If you even think that is funny that a man lost his three children and wife, then I hope to god you die just as painfully.
Two of those posts expressed sympathy and another was clear sarcasm. And good job maintaining the moral high ground by wishing painful death on people.
How come everyone is dying this christmas, early 2012?
pretty sure accidents happen far more frequently on christmas every year. People are drunk, weather is shitty and a dozen other reasons probably.

Not only that but it's the holidays. Think about it, if a family dies in a fire on September 9th does everyone say "OMG, an entire family was killed in a fire on September 9th"? But if the exact same thing happens during a holiday like Christmas it seems more shocking to those people.
How come everyone is dying this christmas?
God is attending his son's birthday
I wonder if the fire started due to a cooking accident. That would be really ironic.
I doubt they would be cooking at 3:30am and even if he was the man is a professional chef and wouldn't make a mistake big enough to result in blowing up his home. This is such a sad story, I really feel for this guy and hope he pulls through okay somehow.
I would rather die than wake up to find dead everyone who i love most..
I would rather die than wake up to find dead everyone who i love most..
Some of these news stories are so horrible that puns provide a welcome distraction from utterly short and fragile life is
This fucking sucks
paramedics getting pissed at parties instead of doing their job AKA business as usual
Nup, they were at a street fight, it's one ambo per 4 suburbs.
Nup, they were at a street fight, it's one ambo per 4 suburbs.
So where the fuck was his partner then?
holy fucking shit that'd be the end for me. honestly i don't think i'd have the mental and emotional strength to continue living at that point
This really disturbs me. I'm depressed just thinking about this. Christmas is a time of love and happiness, when families get together to share some delicious food and catch up. Complete strangers suddenly start sharing wishes of happiness and good fortune. Kids are especially excited, writing their little lists of all of their youthful desires, enjoying all kinds of special cookies and treats throughout the season, tossing and turning with anxiety on Christmas eve and rushing to be the first to see all the goodies when they wake up in the morning, and staying up way past their bed times for many days after playing with all of their new toys. Yet this man gets to watch the woman he fell in love with and married, as well as all of his children whom he raised and cared for, die right in front of him. This is why there is no God. What kind of divine "plan" does this fit in to? This really is the most horrible way to die imaginable. I don't care what kind of gruesome violent death you can think up, this is worse. I would sooner wish death upon someone than I would this. It sickens me that some of you are making jokes about this.

Living in a timber house is a bit like living in a campfire that hasn't been lit yet... but that's besides the point. Horrible way to start a new year, if he ever recovers.

I don't think this is heightened in its tragedy because the new year is about to start.
