First it's Pharrell Williams with that weird music video, now it's this. I can only imagine where it's going to go from here. :v: [editline]nerd[/editline] soon
This video feels like it was directed and produced by Tim & Eric
i love sceince
we truly are living in the fucking future
Dude, Otakus are treated even worse than nerds are here in the States. Can we drop this thing about Japan being a nerd like heaven because it is in fact, one of the most hostile places to be any bit nerdy. Its fashionable to look like a nerd, but if you show any of the traits or stereotypes of being a nerd, you're crapped all over.
Otaku is an insult there
Don't really have a source for this but I recall reading this survey that Japanese women took about what are turn offs/instant rejections in men and the top responses were anime/idol otaku
This is why aliens won't approach us.
Yes. It's not the war, murder, cruelty, bigotry, disease, zealotry, or lack of education that stops aliens from approaching us. It's clearly Hatsune Miku.
This video feels like it was directed and produced by Tim & Eric
If Miku looked as technologically advanced as Grum it would've sealed the deal.
I'd have rather seen a holo 2pac interview than him rapping or this. Finally figure out what happened at the crime scene
http://www.stream2watch.me/live-tv/cbs-live-stream Stream 4, it's begun.
http://www.stream2watch.me/live-tv/cbs-live-stream Stream 4, it's begun.
Watching it on CBS tonight, my mother started to doubt me but I assured her.
What language is she going to speak?
So... Anime Tupac?
:v:
What language is she going to speak?
That is a very good question considering that it's her first time on a American show. We can only get the answer by playing the waiting game.
http://www.stream2watch.me/live-tv/cbs-live-stream Stream 4, it's begun.
Watching this stream reminded me why I don't like watching American TV: there are so many commercials.
here's an example of the holographic projection man that synthesized voice is annoying
to be fair, Miku is one of the more robotic-sounding vocaloids GUMI is where it's at
Imagine if they used this sort of projection (Not Pepper's Ghost):
Oh this is painful as shit to watch
I never knew she sounded so terrible. Nobody in the audience gives a shit. This is so awkward it's hilarious.
Imagine if there's no songs just a normal interview.
Letterman is like "Okay when can this be over please?"
God that was so weird
"Like being on willie nelsons bus" yeah that was... awkward...
It was rather interesting, but everyone has their own tastes on the matter.
It was rather interesting, but everyone has their own tastes on the matter.
I really don't follow anime or anything japan related but I know there HAS to be a better song
I really don't follow anime or anything japan related but I know there HAS to be a better song
It sure sounded worse to me than anything else I've heard by her before.
They probably chose that song in particular to not look completely outlandish as some people over in the US consider Japan to be. It was the first time many people in the US had ever seen Miku, or even exposed to vocaloids in general, and I don't think whoever was in charge wanted to make the performance like this:
I was expecting to be an interview or something.
English does not work with high-pitched voices
I was expecting to be an interview or something.
What are you going to ask a hologram that has no basic AI?
