Middle school students pray at mosque during field trip; soccer moms outraged. - Polidicks

I bow my head any time there's a service going on whether I'm in a synagogue, church or mosque. I completely respect any belief and I don't feel like creating a massive shitstorm just because I don't believe.

The kids are the only sane ones on this story.

If they wanted to do it I do not see what is wrong with it. I went to a church one time, but I did not want to pray to it but I still showed my respects.

I'm atheist and if I ever found myself in that situation, I might not have prayed but at least I would have showed my respect. Hating religion and the religious is going against the very concept of atheism itself. Religion is unfalsifiable, therefore [I]blindly[/I] believing that there is no God without absolute evidence is just like blindly believing there is one. And oh shit soccer moms are actually doing something GOOD this time.
