This sounds like bs to be honest. Nobody would be stupid enough to let one man alone decide such things. I refuse to believe the US is so fundamentally flawed.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_football
It is argued that the President has almost single authority to initiate a nuclear attack since the Secretary of Defense is required to verify the order, but cannot legally veto it.

I'm starting to think this was a threat.
God the idea of a war with NK with this incompetent gorilla in charge is terrifying.
this reminds me of when american "experts" on the kremlin tried to figure out soviet policy by looking at how the chairs were arranged around a table and the way they would enunciate words in speeches
You don't think there is anything off by the way that he has his arms gripped tightly around his body while animating his upper torso? It just seems unnatural to me but maybe you are right and I'm looking too far into it.
He's literally lowering himself to the same level as old NK rhetoric.

Holy shit :v: Someone should start erecting billboards that display his tweets around the US [sp]before he does it himself[/sp]
Remember when people would keep yelling that they didn't want Hillary as president because they thought she would start nuclear war with Russia? Life comes at you fast, huh?

Pot calling the kettle black again for the umpteenth time. Like you can do jack anyway.
Remember when people would keep yelling that they didn't want Hillary as president because they thought she would start nuclear war with Russia? Life comes at you fast, huh?
But he's not starting a war with Russia, only North Korea, see? It's okay, so long as it's not Russia. God, get your facts right, darn liberal.
How are they baseless threats? They're both sitting on nuclear stockpiles.
north korea at worst has a nuclear device, but trump can't just unilatterally go at it either.
FWIW a few months in the spring back he was talking big about North Korea during their missile spamming while complaining about how his predecessors never did anything about North Korea... and then nothing happened. As far as the US is concerned anything involving military action against North Korea will face opposition from China and Russia and provoke a response if he acts. Despite his rhetoric on both the campaign trail and in office, he hasn't really shown a willingness to confront the former yet and we know his unwillingness to criticize (much less confront) the latter.

But I am worried about the nuclear weapons that are in Trumps hands
FYI any attack on the US is an attack on NATO, therefore NATO will be enacted, based on the protocol. The Korean Crisis will probably need all the help it can get to handle the new refugee crisis. Also Russia has a pretty good chance to manipulate key interests behind the scenes since lots of resources will be diverted to Korea. Pretty good chance that the US and it's allies will suffer from this.
according to article 6 of NATO an attack on guam, hawaii etc pacific holdings wouldn't trigger article 5. only if it's in the mainland US, alaska or on the north atlantic.
Only if the US is attacked, not if the US strikes first, or takes up the Korean War that never ended as the cause of action, since that's officially a U.N. policing operation, and has zero to do with NATO.
Kim Jong Un is considering an a missile attack on Guam, a territory of the United States. The US could definitely pull Article 5 if North Korea actually does that. [editline]8th August 2017[/editline]
according to article 6 of NATO an attack on guam, hawaii etc pacific holdings wouldn't trigger article 5. only if it's in the mainland US, alaska or on the north atlantic.
Nevermind then, I was unaware that territories didn't count. That's odd, but I could see why they would put that in.

My belief is that his nipples were rock hard as he said that and he was covering his chest like that so he wouldn't show through his shirt. [editline]8th August 2017[/editline] that's my body language take
It's probably going to keep being all huff and no fire as usual. I know they have the means to now, but it doesn't mean they will. If they nuke Guam they'll get nuked right back.

[editline]8th August 2017[/editline] that's my body language take
Who doesn't get a little excited at the prospect of surgical cruise missile strikes on artillery positions followed up by special forces insertions and the ROK army pushing K2 Black Panthers across the DMZ :speedfap:
Sooooooo... Remember who Trump was going to get us out of a war, If we have a war without nukes, good possibility we have to reinstate the Draft because of all the underground tunnels, according to a military friend.

Remember who Trump was going to get us out of a war, If we have a war without nukes, good possibility we have to reinstate the Draft because of all the underground tunnels, according to a military friend.
What underground tunnels? I find a draft highly unlikely. Other than the enormous military advantage of the United States, you would also have regional allies and South Korea itself mobilizing to war. There would be no need for a draft. Not to say it wouldn't be bloody or that the inevitable occupation wouldn't be both long and difficult.

If North Korea begins guerrilla operations on a large scale, they have the underground tunnel structure for this, we could be talking about hundreds, maybe even thousands of casualties a day (dead and wounded). The US can’t keep that up without draft.
https://www.quora.com/If-we-go-to-war-with-North-Korea-will-there-be-a-draft
I hate how everyone forgets that South Korea has a giant military and the US forces in SK are small by comparison. They will be the ones leading the fight.
I hate how everyone forgets that South Korea has a giant military and the US forces in SK are small by comparison. We do have those, right?

not only that, but the trump admin is very willing to show off america's shiny new toys, he was happy to throw a MOAB around in the middle east, one of those at one of NK's tunnel systems and everyone in the tunnels turns to soup
I'm sure the US has something like a really big boat or a plane that they could send a few more guys over on if there was a war. We do have those, right?
Don't be a smartass. Yes, we'd send more people. But you, and others, seem to forget that this is THEIR land. We are operating beholden to the SK government, and they have a fuckhuge military. They will be leading the fight. We'll be right there next to em, but in smaller numbers.
