Western Australian commitee wants R18+ games banned. - Polidicks

You know I found it really novel to see a R-18+ rating on a game box about a week ago, since I was under the impression we still didn't have it.

Responsible adults should be able to consume whatever they want without the state telling them otherwise. If kids are playing violent video games, that's a problem between them and their parents.

It really is horrid down here. Plus the crime is a little troubling... I've also have to watch out in case my mail gets stolen which has happened before.

What the fuck Austrailia[/QUOTE] Actually I think Australia flat out didn't have an R18+ rating for video games, so while they never technically banned anything, by refusing to give several games the "teen" equivilant they left several games unrated. And I guess you can't sell unrated Video Games in Australia or something.

Honestly on topic though, I hope the Australian CB (Classification Board) doesn't heed these decisions and reverses the R18+ classification, even though it's pretty much been useless due to the fact that the same people who chaired the board before the OFLC's dissolution in 2006 are the same people on it for the CB right now, who also probably have to work with ACMA who probably down R18+ game approvals faster than MH370 hitting the ocean
