I remember when phones were all about being compact and thin. Not stupidly large and thin.
but I want to view my facebook! and my Youtube! and my Twitter! and my 1080p movies! and browse the internet! Whay would I want something that ONLY made and received phone calls? I couldn't do anything with it!
I miss when my phone made texts and calls and played "bounce" if I was lucky I miss that, I pay too much attention to my phone now
I refuse to believe this isn't a troll article.
I could only think of it being useful for the novelty of the size
People would not think it is so ridiculous if they had just called it a tablet. It's a mid-sized tablet with a possible data connection, that's nothing new. Samsung should have just named it the Galaxy Tab 8.0. No one ever complained the Nexus 7 was too big, and it's possible to get one with a data connection and thus use it as a "phone".
If they had called it the Tab 8.0 it would have been a completely different product line. After the Galaxy Note 1 came out, they added tablets to the line with the stylus input and simply called the entire range the Note, tablets are differentiated from the phone by having the screen size after the name. So the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 are phones. The Galaxy Note 10.1 and 8.0 are tablets.
why is samsung still using that awful design
How the fuck can one even fit that in a pocket if you aren't wear pants made specifically for the Hulk.
I actually think that those mini iPads and mini-tablets (or big phones, call them whatever you want) are nice if you're on the train or something if normal sized tablets are too big for you. They're a good thing, don't bash them just because you have no need for them.
why is samsung still using that awful design
because Apple would get sue happy otherwise
why is samsung still using that awful design
The fuck is awful about it? The curved edges look more ergonomic than the generic straights of every other tablet on the market.
I refuse to believe this isn't a troll article.
Here's a video of it in action
because Apple would get sue happy otherwise
then why isn't everyone else making ugly phones? [t]http://images.anandtech.com/doci/6754/HTC One_Silver_Left.jpg[/t]
How the fuck can one even fit that in a pocket if you aren't wear pants made specifically for the Hulk.
I have pants that would fit a 10" tablet. Pshh
I love those WP8 designs. I wish it had more support, I'd easily get one.
officially ridiculous

My dick roams undefeated yet another day. You had a good run MIPS!
There are a million and one different hardware designs that won't piss Apple off, and they choose the one that resembles a half melted bar of soap. What cheap tat.
Samsung doesn't really design things any different than anyone else. The only difference between the S3 and other phones is the roundness of the corners. They're Apple's main target because they're Apple's biggest threat in the mobile phone business.
Never mind the size, Samsung is still using TouchWiz? God.
i wish i had pockets for that kind of thing, I'm getting a 5"~ phone soon
i remember when my dick was longer than my phone what dark cruel future have we twisted
im gonna try and make my dick bigger so it matches the size of my phone that way when I have my phone in my pocket i can pretend to have two dicks [editline]24th February 2013[/editline]
My dick roams undefeated yet another day. Why do they call it a PHONE? Its a smaller size tablet.

So what's able to utilize the 4 cores?
Remember this bad boy lads?
Remember? I still have it in my computer drawer at home! I also remember that it had a "locked" bootloader, so in order to put custom software on it, I had to disassemble it, touch two pins together, and reflash the entire firmware. That was my first foray into phone modding.
So what's able to utilize the 4 cores?
Nothing really. That's why Qualcomm and Apple went for better single threaded performance with their chips initially. That Exynos 4 Quad is 4 Cortex-A9 cores and you'd probably be better off with two of the new Krait(or even A15) cores for overall performance and power consumption. Also since it'll be 32nm HKMG for this chip the power consumption gap widens further because Krait is on 28nm.
I remember when I was considering the Galaxy Note 2 because it was big. Good thing I didn't upgrade yet.
It's not a smartphone, it's an tablet with phone functions
Future, putting your face up against a 42" flatscreen to talk into it as a "phone"
