Why should you care what happens after you're dead? They can just aswell nuke the world when I'm dead, none of my business
You're so ignorant that you honestly doesn't care about the future of the whole human race? Kill yourself now because no one will care.
I'm glad to live in Australia. Fuck off, we're full.

"Daily Mail" Theres your problem right there
the problem is capitalism. Any progress in science is stopped until ALL of the old resources are used.
If we start moving underground, or beneath the sea, we might be able to contain the problems of population growth for a little bit longer. Also, capitalism is a bit of an issue too, since those hungry oil giants would probably fight well and platform to maintain their profits.
oh no
Nuke China problem solved :smug:
To Mars! :hist101:
When humanity does get close to having next to no resources my guess is humanity will dive into a technology frenzy, recycling and energy techs are going to go through the roof, kinda like how weapon and information technologies evolve faster when there's a war going on.

Humans always need a impetus to make change, if this accelerates research, I'm fine with it.
Lets grow one in our labs.
Because my kids are the next generation.
No, Star Trek is
I love how arrogant everyone is... We're not as smart as we think we are. We've been to the moon and we've been to into space but I seriously doubt we will be taking resources from other planets to continue our greedy dependence on non renewable resources. In another 100 years we'll be back to horses and small villages with little farm plots like after the fall of Rome. The horse was the peak of what man could do with mechanics everything was figured out, before Henry ford and the explosion of the automobile.
Nah... thinking about far future is dumb. Just think about what will happen in this year or next, and you'll have less worries.

All of which we have done, are doing, and will continue to do.
I doubt it, 2030 is to early.

No there's enough stuff left on the planet to just about support over one hundred billion humans. We're at seven billion, do the math. All this is getting boring, shit isn't going to run out, stop being paranoid. Stop reading untrustworthy news sources, or news sources that get their information from paranoid and untrained 'scientists'.

Haha, we run out of resources by the end of 2030. What bullshit. We don't need two earths. We only need astroids resources. We don't need two earth before 2100. We only want to settle on other planets by 2020 to 2100. And so on.
"my opinion and gut feeling > scientific research"
yep, but at the same time, technology is progressing very quickly but yes we will need the equivalent of two earths by 2030, read this shit people
Dude thank you so much. I was looking for this site after seeing it a few months ago.
i have a spare earth, you gotta pay me rent to use it though :smug:
Nuke Africa, start civilised society on their old land. [editline]18th October 2010[/editline]
Why should you care what happens after you're dead? They can just aswell nuke the world when I'm dead, none of my business
I wish your ancestors thought like the way you did. That way, you won't have to exist.
We need some method of population control
Or we just need half the people
That's kinda weird, I had a dream last night that i travelled to a second colonised planet, but on the way back, the space ship crashed and I died.
shit shit shit everyone use energy saving bulbs
"The Daily Mail reported" the news post lost all credibility when that part showed up.
