• "Ring of Fire" Solar Eclipse Coming Sunday

The New Mexico eclipse has started on the SLOOH stream. Grand Canyon seems to be out for the count, though.
Reports say it should've been visible in East Texas just barely around 7:30-8:00 but I can't see shit.
Happened to see it out the Barracks window at 6:30 this morning while I was brushing my teeth, had no idea this was going on until someone was like "What the fuck is up with the sun". Haha.
I drove out to the end of the road and watched it until it set behind the liquor store. Saw the moon go a good third into the sun. Awesome. [editline]20th May 2012[/editline] Good thing I'm going to the optometrist soon. I'm gonna need new glasses after that. Totally worth it.

i'm seeing it out here in arizona, looks gorgeous
Just past the apex here. Got really damn close, but we're too far north.
It was alright
well i could see it for half a second before the sun went back to blinding me southern california isn't a good spot to see it i guess
I can't see the moon at all
Did anyone who could actually see it take some pictures? If so, you guys should post them. All I got are screenshots from the SLOOH site. The sky was solid cloud here, so I couldn't see it at all. God, the shadows looked amazing in California
I'm in California and I just looked through a black contractor bag. Improv white trash aside, the views were amazing. Coolest thing I've seen in a while.
Pretty cool in California. Too bad we didn't get the full on obscured sun thing. Because I live near redwood trees, I got treated to hundreds of thousands of little crescents.

Therefore you don't have the upper body strength.
Just finished watching it It was amazing :D
[t]http://i.imgur.com/K7L21.jpg[/t] My picture of the eclipse, taken in Tiburon, California. Also, if anyone else has pictures of the eclipse, or couldn't see/missed the eclipse, get in here.
That was amazing here in NM, no clouds whatsoever, so you could basically watch it until they were completely apart.
I'm in Tokyo right now, I took pictures. I think there's an eclipse party going on down my street. Too bad tomorrow's Monday.
Back! Uploading 116 images. I'll post the highlights and a gallery link when it's done.
Rained in Denver, but cleared up just in time for the moon to began to cross the Sun. I tried to get a photo with my phone through my goggles, but it just came out blurry. Was an amazing view, though!
ffff I hate living on the east coast sometimes.
I'm right on the West Coast and never saw much. Maybe the margin to see it without burning your eyes was small but all we really got here was really dim sunlight for an hour or two. It was like wearing sunglasses without wearing sunglasses :v:
Saw in utah, it was covered by thin layer of clouds so I was able to see it without the use of those glasses. Looked like it almost covered the whole thing.
This was really uninteresting for me. It got a little bit darker and more golden-looking for a while, and then in about five minutes it was normal again.
Like a episode of Heroes.

It was just incredible.
I went out to see it, but it was much too cloudy. :( I guess I'll never see one.
Damn it, this is like the fourth eclipse I didn't see.
