I always thought that giving more xp in sp games for stuff unrelated to game is stupid.
Like buying rl stuff to get more xp in a sp game.
To you maybe, but it isn't the first time people have paid to have an easier time with single player games, action replay for example.

When one of the Need for Speeds (I think it was Carbon?) was released you could pay to make one or two of the cars available for purchase earlier than usual.
I love the idiocy in this thread.
It's like they're trying to be assholes. And they're doing quite good!
Fuck, I started to like EA with BC2 again, now this :saddowns:
EA DID NOT MAKE THAT GAME! DICE DID ,EA IS A PUBLISHER, Your basically saying since EA publishes (example)valves console games EA made them.

No, but most of the time publisher is the one who puts drm crap on their games. See activision and ubisoft.
The entire thread gets rated bad reading.
Why is it that the biggest, richest companies are the ones that are most determined to stop pirates? You have EA, Activision, and Ubisoft all trying to use everything under the sun to stop them, Nintendo's occasionally hunted down pirates personally, yet smaller companies who actually need the money usually don't do anywhere near as much to stop them.
It will go from this to "Please insert credit card number to purchase the next level!"
Game companies need to concentrate on better games.
Bioshock 2 was awful.
Splinter Cell Double Agent wasn't very good, and then they realised what the did and brought out the demo of Conviction.
Which i love, probably the best game coming out in a long time.
I think I'm completely done with EA now.
Not buying any more games from them or any company associated with them.
I was already done after the crap with spore... but i thought they could redeem themselves... wow was I wrong.
Ah not Bad Company 2

A game reviewing forum disagrees with him. Your point?
So you can pay for a little more game when you can pirate it for free?
Haha EA, you just don't get it do you?
Jeez, Piracy is simple enough to solve.

let me guess, you didn't even play it?
Nice one crippling the games industry EA.
Why can't they go back to the classic style? Release a demo before release, then release the game (at normal price), then after a year or so release an expansion (not 2MB DLC crap) for half the price of the full game.
Instead these fuckers release the game without demos at higher than normal price, the bombard you with shitty DLC and charge you 10€ for it. DLC is a horrible idea.
this is how it works now

They'll end up releasing $30 episodic content for 1/4 of a normal game to increase profits.
