Adele Song Wakes Girl From Coma: 'Rolling in the Deep' Miraculously Awakens Comatose 7-Year-Old

every-time i hear her music i slip into a coma....
What's wrong with the LOTR soundtrack? :(
Anyways, this is a heartwarming story and it's nice to see that she recovered so thoroughly, though I do wish the media wouldn't sensationalize it so much. It's possible and indeed even likely that subconsciously hearing one of her favorite songs sung by her mother would bring the girl out of the coma, but I don't think it's miraculous.
I don't want no pussy ass fag son! If you're in a coma you'll wake up to the national anthem or nothing at all.
For some reason the title made me think of Adele going to the hospital room and singing the girl awake.
Also, I would want to be woken up to this. Just for coincidence's sake.

I would want this, for irony's sake.

If I heard Adele in my sleep I would have stayed fucking asleep.

Jesus christ people, we get it. You're the fifth person to post a comment like this on this page. I'm not a big fan of her music either but that's irrelevant to the story.
The problem with Adele, is that she sounds as though she strains her vocals.
Soul music is better when natural and smooth:

On top of that, she smokes a load of cigarettes, it's no wonder her vocals will be turned to mulch in a decade or so.
AK'z is always looking for an excuse to post Marvin Gaye
I'm just worried for her.
She just had surgery too, so it's not going to help her to belt out Rolling In The Deep when it she seems to take herself on edge.

Yep, she's a belter to the point of strain.
To all those dismissing this as a coincidence, there is the slight possibility that the song contains a random (yes, coincidence) of sounds that could trigger something in the brain of a specific person to make them wake from a coma, sounds are very powerful and can influence brain waves. I mean, back when stonehenge was in use they used it as a way of reflecting the drum sounds back and forth to get the people inside "high" and see stuff.
Well the hindus believe the world began through a drone sound "Aum". So maybe there is something about life that physically needs music.

Also explains why people sing in the shower.
yeah, it was totally because of the song
totally.
not a coincidence at all.
I used to leave the TV on overnight and sometimes just before I wake up I would be dreaming and inside the program that was on TV but only if it was one I really liked, the same thing has happened when Family guy came on somewhere past midnight.
really awesome feeling.

Falling asleep while listening to talk radio and not knowing whether you are thinking the words or they are actually being said is really trippy.

This has happened to me and the "half-dream" was pretty intense, I distinctly had a soundscape of voices while in that state. It was all echoey too, wonder why that hasn't been done in movies.
Come to think of it, a lot of my dreams could be genuinely great movies :-)

I forgot to mention that you begin to think that you thought the words before they were said.
think that you thought.
I think it's fair to bring this discussion to a close.

that makes sense!
When someone wakes up from a coma, would it be like waking up from a sleep?
Like would it be instantaneous, or is it a slow progress?
If they played Daft Punk instead of Adele, she would have been able to fly by now, selfish bastards.

Its rarely like the movies where the guy just instantly wakes up and everyone's happy. Its more of a gradual progression.
