1. Why would you tell people you're wearing a prosthetic penis?
2. Why would you even bother wearing it to work?
3. Why would you find it appropriate to report a co-worker for wearing a prosthetic penis?
Honestly, this whole situation could easily have been avoided if she decided to keep her penis to herself. Clearly if workers were reporting it to management it was causing some issues (ie people becoming emotionally traumatized at the thought of anything sexual), which was probably why she was fired.
Well it was obviously so visible people were actually complaining, it can't have been far off.
Unless she had just walked around telling everyone. :v:
well she was, she had been 'confiding in several co-workers about the device, and someone told management'
she was just letting people know what the deal was because communication is healthy and shit like that, and someone decided to be a big dick about it and get her fired
If a guy walked about telling people about his dick he'd probably get fired too.
You can't? Why not?
Sexual harassment. Trust me on this.

I'd report it too if it was as noticeable as the one in the picture. It's gross and inappropriate in a workplace.
It's just a penis though, if she does her work well then it should be no big deal.
But if she wears the same pants as in the picture, then yes it can probably distract from working.

It was supposedly concealed and the only way people knew about it was because she was telling them about it.

Hot.
hahaha it sounds like she was trying to be so crazy that she'd get fired and sue
i mean come on who actually wears a dildo in their trousers when they want to 'feel what its like to have a penis'
Sexual harassment. Trust me on this.
I know. I just wanted to hear his response.

(Because i can't participate in serious discussion.)
if she was really wearing tights like that and people could see that distinct outline then she should be punished
i don't think i'd fire her at least not on the first offense but i'd consider it indecent exposure
article sounds like she just TOLD people about it and that was the entire reason she lost her job
I highly doubt that that's an actual example picture.
Not to sound cliche, but it looks Photoshopped.

um, trans people lol
Why did she go around telling people?
have you ever heard of the "deal with it" effect?
Get penis, tell everyone about it?
Totally a dude in the making.
Wow. Nice work with that misleading pic OP. IT'S NOT HER GUYS. THEY COULDN'T SEE IT. She told people about it, which wasn't exactly great, but this really is a transgender discrimination story.
So what exactly is the point in wearing a prosthetic penis? Seems like "I'm gonna put a dildo in my pants and see what it feels like to have penis".
except even then you don't even have the nerves in it so you won't feel it
so it's pretty pointless.
that picture wasn't even in the article. what the fuck were you thinking, OP?
that picture wasn't even in the article. what the fuck were you thinking, OP?
it's from his porn folder obviously

Actually talking about your penis all the time is a pretty male trait so he's got that down pat
Actually talking about your penis all the time is a pretty male trait so he's got that down pat
I've never heard about that at all
last I checked talking about your penis all the time is a sign that you're really gay or really tiny.

Outside work jokingly with friends yeah, maybe. But not at work.

No, it's not. She was fired because she was making an uncomfortable work environment for her coworkers going around telling "Hey, guys, guess what. I've got a dick in my pants right now."
SHE was the one creating sexual harassment, and SHE has to deal with her actions.

He's got a point, trans or not you don't just walk around telling co-workers the state of your genitals.
No, it's not. She was fired because she was making an uncomfortable work environment for her coworkers going around telling "Hey, guys, guess what. I've got a dick in my pants right now."
you don't actually know that. stop projecting
all we know is that one bigot complained to management and blew the whole thing out of proportion

Well if you paint it like that, yeah. But the word "confided" kinda give the connotation that she told a few people that she trusted or thought would like to know.
