He's a Republican who has to pander to moderates, a rabid conservative base, and was governor in a relatively liberal state. You have to be a fucking chameleon to do accomplish these things.
My word choice would be something like "lying prick" or "shit spewing cock warbler". "Chameleon" is an insult to actual chameleons.
Have you seen Obama when the press asks him a question about something hypocritical or when people asked him about Bradley Manning a long time ago? He is good at avoiding sensitive questions. Honestly Obama isn't that great either, but he is the lesser of two evils.
True, but at least he understands the concepts of basic human empathy and long term planning.
I votted Romey becau he is cristian like me.
Do most places have booths for voting where you can't be seen? Where I went they just had 3 stands with the voting machines on them and you were facing the people at the tables.
My word choice would be something like "lying prick" or "shit spewing cock warbler". "Chameleon" is an insult to actual chameleons.
Yea well you get my point.
I hope that Obama will do what he said in that Putin meeting. He has more flexibility (because he won his second term), so he will become more liberal. I hope.

But at least Obama doesn't view me as a second class citizen who should have her rights stripped away. If Romney gets elected I'm scared he'd ruin the lives of all transgender citizens. He fired one that was in his congress (or senate I forgot) back in Massachusetts just for the fact that she was transgender. And his second in command, at the time of him finding out, was pissing in his pants in glee over finding out she's a transsexual.
How long does this process usually take?
There are reports of long voting lines in Florida. My dad said this may be do intentional Republican mismanagement to suppress the Democratic vote. Is he a wild conspiracy theorist, or is this the kind of voter suppression we've been worried about?
Retoast.
forgive me if this is a stupid question, but why can't black voters just vote on tuesday? there's all this controversy about early black votes cast on sunday not being counted, why don't they just go on tuesday to avoid this mess? it seems like they're willfully allowing themselves to be discriminated against by not voting on tuesday for "religious reasons" I'm refering to this article: http://us4.campaign-archive2.com/?u=33e4ec877eed6a43863a4a92e&id=2db010b69c&e=10281073ac
I'm on my 45 minute break and just from mentally counting off the ballots before I inserted them into the box I can safely say Obama is winning!!!
In my opinion it should be spent, for the greater benefit of the region. [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] But the thing is, Taliban did it intentionally in the name of Islam and ISAF does it by accident.
Problem with the whole afghanistan conflict is the entire country is basically in control by warlords (read: taliban) who make all their money from global opium sales It's almost impossible to take down an entire regieme like the taliban short of either a full scale extermination, or short of the country itself rebelling on its own terms and taking them down by the initiative of their own people. thats not that likely to happen anytime soon though, since most people prefer to live and just do what the taliban say. US involvement isn't going to "fix" that. We already severely weakened al-quiadea and their influence and took out their leader, which was the main terrorist threat. The taliban are a big issue, and they allowed the al-quiada refuge, but taking them down is akin to saying that you are going to take down corrupt warlords and officals throughout all of africa and restore peace. It just isn't feasable as a third party nation
Taxes aren't punishment, taxes are a way to obtain money for the community. it only makes sense to take more from those who don't need the money as much
people who earn more already pay more in taxes, do you suck at math or something?? if person X earns 1000 dollars and person Y earns 100 dollars and the goverment takes away 50% of their income person X ends up paying 10x the amount of dollars compared to person Y. I'm against higher taxes for the rich & i'm not even rich myself, i'm even jobless at the moment. don't forget rich people even create jobs by purchasing expensive shit such yachts, cars, mansions.

It doesn't matter if they pay more, they still have A LOT of money. No matter how high taxes get for the rich, they will still have much much much more money than poor/middle class people. For your math portion, X gets $500 and Y gets $50 in the end, lets say you want to buy a video game, Y can't even get one, while X gets about 8. It's an exponential growth that has too many people at the bottom. Trickle down has proven to be false, it doesn't work, it never will.
i live in england but dear god i hope romney doesn't win
I went to vote Obama and outside the building there was some really old guy handing out Democrat card things. He held it up to me and pointed to Obama and says, 'Your voting for this guy right?' I tell him yea and he goes 'good stuff now get in there and vote.' Then the republican lady handed me one inside looking all depressed.
Isn't that illegal
Isn't that illegal
There are similar things happening here in Virginia. Outside of where I voted are a few Republican supporters handing out bottles of water and fliers. Some black woman asked for a bottle and they REALLY hesitated to give her one but they eventually did.
people who earn more already pay more in taxes, do you suck at math or something?? if person X earns 1000 dollars and person Y earns 100 dollars and the goverment takes away 50% of their income person X ends up paying 10x the amount of dollars compared to person Y. If you take 10 dollars from someone with 100, that person will not be nearly as pressured as when you take 1 dollar from someone with 10. With each additional dollar you have, the least each dollar is worth. And most of that money goes to other rich people who own the luxury industry and even if it didn't and the money got redistributed to the poorer people, it'd still need the labor to make those luxury items when it could be used somewhere else if that extra money got redistributed via taxes and community benefits. Note that I'm talking out of my ass and I know nothing df economy and/or politics, so if I'm saying rubbish, do point it out-
Isn't that illegal

Report that shit.
Its not like they were telling me who to vote for. Both the little cards were the same just listing the choices for democrats and republicans.
Report that shit.
It's not illegal. He's not saying "Are you voting Obama? Because if you're not I'm going to block the door." He's saying "Are you voting Obama? Yes? Cool, thanks."
It's not illegal. He's not saying "Are you voting Obama? Because if you're not I'm going to block the door." He's saying "Are you voting Obama? Yes? Cool, thanks."
That's still illegal.
That's still illegal.
Where's the illegal part of asking what candidate you're voting for?
It's not illegal. He's not saying "Are you voting Obama? Because if you're not I'm going to block the door." He's saying "Are you voting Obama? Yes? Cool, thanks."
As far as I know, there is not suppose to be any show of political affiliation/support/campaigning/etc in a 100 yard radius around the building.
As far as I know, there is not suppose to be any show of political affiliation/support/campaigning/etc in a 100 yard radius around the building.
Brb flying to america and putting massive billboards exactly 100 yards away from a polling station.
Where's the illegal part of asking what candidate you're voting for?
It's electioneering. You aren't supposed to endorse a candidate or persuade anyone to vote for a candidate or even make it known that you represent a party or candidate within a certain radius of a voting area.
Brb flying to america and putting massive billboards exactly 100 yards away from a polling station.
You've been beaten by both parties for about a century. Hell, at my place the driveway was lined with repeating rows of signs for all the candidates. Literally over 300 damned signs. Even the girl scout troop had some signs up.
I just got back from voting for Obongo. I was originally just going to vote for him then ignore the rest, but I looked over what the amendments were that would be on the ballot. One was for extending a wild-life preserve for 20 years (yes), one was to give the government the ability to tax corporations with a business privilege tax (yes), one was to prevent state legislators from raising their pay and benefiting from it in the same term while resetting their income to the median household income in the state (yes), and one would block the healthcare mandate and the bill on the whole (fuck no). Also one was for State Supreme Court Chief Justice, and Roy Moore was one of the candidates and I'd vote for almost anyone before I'd vote for him. If you don't know who Roy Moore is, look him up and be amazed (read: horrified).
