For what it's worth: There's nothing technically wrong with having a decent rate of inflation if incomes are increasing appropriately. This has happened in quite a few developing countries in central/western asia in the past couple of decades as they rapidly industrialized.
Steady inflation is actually indicative of a healthy economy. However, wages haven't been inflating which isn't very promising.

This is a poll that Maplestory ran for a few weeks. Granted the age group was like 10-16 it may not be accurate, but...
I think it means that there might be hope for future generations, assuming our education system doesn't stamp it out of them.
Except the median wage isn't rising.
I wasn't implying otherwise. I was responding to content about inflation a few posts up. Controlling inflation is viewed as somewhat unnecessary by a decent chunk of economists, except because run away inflation causes instability.
Obviously there is far, far more to it, but outside of a few issues that are mostly due to the market being sluggish or unable to adjust to change, inflation is just another variable to account for.

It's necessary when inflation is too high. You don't eradicate inflation, you control it through high taxes and through proper interest rates.

i wouldn't be surprised if most internet community polls outside of facebook and twitter came in at similar percentages.

10 year olds generally don't understand politics and only look at cosmetics to determine its value.

mitt romney isn't anime enough
CNN is reporting an early lead for Romney in Kentucky and Indiana. Silver predicted as much, so I'm not concerned yet.
When will we know the results?
Neither candidate will destroy the country. I don't want stability, I want some real change. Not taxing the shit out of business allows them to hire more people and create more jobs. If there is less money you can make because of half of it going to taxes, then you wouldn't work as hard because you won't get as much money.
I'm for democracy, I want every knowledge person to vote, not just people on my side. i'm sorry to see you don't want a good democracy where everyone knowledgeable voted.
hey dude if romney is elected then he's gonna effect people like me
for example: i can pretty much kiss my college scholarship goodbye if romney is elected and he changes certain policies in his political favor through the process that requires that to happen

I don't think that's how it works.

Same here - I can either look at going into massive debt for the rest of my life (with a current 3.7 GPA) or just give up on my future if I lose access to the financial aid I need to get my education.

That was depressingly vague.
Romney is winning

You see how little that explains?

If I remember correctly Romney suggested cutting government student loans, his famous if you cant afford something borrow money from your parents gaffe shows he does not understand broke college students. I am in the same boat, take away my loans and I cant afford college.

That's not something that's actually going to happen considering it would need to get through both the House and Senate.
I don't think that's how it works.
if you vote for nader then you get to complain no matter who is elected

I doubt he could cut all loans, but he could certainly help hold back anymore and with the cost of four year colleges increasing it will have the same affect. You can not ignore a bad political view just because you dont think it would make it through the house, it could easily be carried through on a larger bill.

There are a depressingly large number of people who's parents literally kick them out of the house once they turn 18. People like that, regardless of their ability, are frequently up shit creek without a paddle. If they aren't lucky enough to get a free ride, loans are a requirement for them. Even people with financial support have difficulty paying for education.
It's ridiculous how expensive it's gotten, and it's only getting worse.

I was not kicked out but my parents cant afford to pay most of it so I have to struggle to make tuition even with loans and a payment plan.

Hopefully you Americans don't vote for Romney. He said he wants to install more pipes to take oil from Canada.

I'm not ignoring it, only admitting that it's pretty much a non-issue from a practical point of view.

i'm two decades old and my parents are still looking after me and i still live with them (actually, all 3 of us look after each others backs mutually) because they and i fully realize that i'm immature and illiterate in some areas; i am morally and emotionally sound but i'm not at the best at taking care of myself to live independently in certain areas
