Anyone else feel like if Romney wins there will be riots?

This right here is the train of thought that allows non-rich people to vote republican even though it goes against their interests.
If he wins he will have 50% vote so nothing major
When do the results start coming in?
I'm in the UK but if you tell me in your time zone i'll work it out.

Usually after they close, that's from 7 to 11EST. Depending on state and time zone. (12 to 4am GMT)
You might as well go to bed, most don't finish counting until the next day.
Taxes aren't punishment, taxes are a way to obtain money for the community. it only makes sense to take more from those who don't need the money as much

That's not really how the electoral college works and even so, you don't think 150 million people is enough to start a riot?
Voted for obama just now.
There are reports of long voting lines in Florida. My dad said this may be do intentional Republican mismanagement to suppress the Democratic vote. Is he a wild conspiracy theorist, or is this the kind of voter suppression we've been worried about?
I biked 12 miles each way with the temperature at a heartwarming 40 degrees F. Then in class a couple of people where whining about 10 minute lines. One person actually went home because the line was 30 minutes at her location.
I fucking hate people.

let's be honest here, 150 million people rioting would be more like the apocalypse
Kind of an interesting article about how UN observers have noted the US system for voting: http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/11/06/foreign_election_officials_amazed_by_trust_based_us_voting_system
of course, that number assumes everyone voted, which doesn't happen, but if everyone did it would be a landslide in Obama's favor.

I've been reading Fox Nation comments a lot these past few days and they are saying the exact same thing about Obama

I live in a Republican area in a Democrat state, and the lines were very short(15 minute wait). My dad said nearly the same thing when we left the voting place.

I can't wait to see my friend's who want Romney to win be extremely mad. They over exaggerate everything.

this is such a perfect romney-supporter post lol
destroying the country so rich people don't have to pay their taxes and using the old "he had 4 years" line as if that in any way justifies just letting a madman loose in the white house to do what he wants for the next 4. at least with obama, at the VERY least you can count on stability, but people saying "he had his chance, lets give romney a shot" are unbelievable
I seriously hope Romney doesn't win...
"maybe in 4 years he'll change his mind about gay people, poor people, corporations, abortion, healthcare, etc., give him a chance!"
I live in a Republican area in a Democrat state, and the lines were very short(15 minute wait). My dad said nearly the same thing when we left the voting place.
Good to know it's not happening one way. Now as to whether it's happening in reverse is another thing entirely.
(By the way, everyone, I meant Florida in my original post, if that changes anything. Edited.)
"maybe in 4 years he'll change his mind about gay people, poor people, corporations, abortion, healthcare, etc., give him a chance!"
It's funny because in 1996 Romney was for gay rights.
Just goes to show how much he bullshits his way through everything.
I went to vote Obama and outside the building there was some really old guy handing out Democrat card things. He held it up to me and pointed to Obama and says, 'Your voting for this guy right?' I tell him yea and he goes 'good stuff now get in there and vote.' Then the republican lady handed me one inside looking all depressed.

After reading this I can honestly say I'm glad you're 17.

He's a politician; bullshit is in the job description.

Right wing extremists being tear gassed by riot police?
Finally, post election coverage I can stand to watch.

Yeah but he's the epitome of bullshit. He doesn't even try to cover up his bullshit. He'll say one thing one day, and then literally the next day say the complete opposite of it. I don't understand how he got the primary he can't keep track of his own lies.

He's a Republican who has to pander to moderates, a rabid conservative base, and was governor in a relatively liberal state. You have to be a fucking chameleon to do accomplish these things.
Mitt Romney winning would be literally the worst thing to happen to American workers in many, many years.
He's the embodiment of upper class elitism, social myopia and insensitivity towards the suffering of the lower classes. Textbook financial technocrat.
[editline]hey[/editline]
What are these 'human beings' you speak of? All I'm seeing is data here

Have you seen Obama when the press asks him a question about something hypocritical or when people asked him about Bradley Manning a long time ago? He is good at avoiding sensitive questions.
Honestly Obama isn't that great either, but he is the lesser of two evils.
