Evolve just looks like too much for what it is, unneccesary when all you need a is a VPN connection to the other players.

it has a matchmaking system. Hamachi doesn't, also more than 5 people. unless there is something that has that to, i'll stick with evolve

I don't use any VPN software like that, the games I play have direct connect options (luckily), and I know how to configure my router so I don't need software like that to avoid port forwarding.

i know, but some games don't have that sadly
Oh jeez VPN FLAME WARZ GUISE.
ANYWAYS.
Sad to see Halo 2 online support go, even if only few still played. The fact of the matter is that it's the death of something beautiful, and the end of a legacy for some players. It's odd, after it's been up for all this time.
I just really, really, really wish that Reach or Halo 4 would be ported. Even Halo 3. I would be happy with any of those, but, like already said; Microsoft shows barely any remorse to the PC Gaming community. (Although that isn't entirely true because a dedicated PC Development team does cost extra money, in which MS has already poured a lot of money into the Halo franchise.)
