YES this is the fucking worst thing about non-diet soda, especially colas
like some fruit flavored sugar sodas are fine (ie orange soda, grape soda) but colas in general eeghgr
has the texture of carbonated maple syrup with battery acid mixed in as well
I drink a ton of diet soda and have been for years, had a physical recently and had nothing wrong with me. Blood pressure was perfectly fine. I also don't believe diet soda is "helping me lose weight" nor do I shove down 5,000 calories a day rationalizing that "I'm drinking diet!"
I just like the taste, hate the sugar in regular soda, and have been living perfectly healthy. Of course, I still drink water and milk, too. But I don't subsist entirely on a diet of Diet Coke, pizza, burgers and potato chips. My grandpa has spent the past 50 years drinking at least 2-4 Diet Cokes a day, and nothing happened.
People should learn what effects them and how and stop generalizing everything as good or bad, and worst of all, people should stop trying to shove their "help" down other people's throats. I've met a few people who will treat you like scum for drinking a fucking Diet Coke, go to Hell, and I hope they only have Diet there.
As the article states, this has more to do with the fact that most people that drink dietsodas are already fat and therefore risk heartproblems
do you have any science to back this up?
Of course not. Chemicals are just too scary!
I tried coffee once and it was awful. I couldn't finish my cup, and there are few things I cannot finish. I'll just stick with Soda, which I enjoy very much.
You've only had coffee once?
Pretty Wow, Maybe it's just because I live with people who drink a lot of it: but there's always a cup if I want some.
If you've had a bad experience with normal hot-brewed coffee, try cold brew, since it tastes a good bit different (And better imho).
It's kinda funny... I'm addicted to soft drinks since I was a kid, I usually drink soft drinks, at least 4 a day, never really drink water because water has no great taste until I put these on-to-go package that make water taste better. Ever since my mother has become a diabetic, she now drinks more water and a bit of diet soda as well... at least 1 a day, and I tend to drink her diet sodas as well as they taste alright, however sometimes I rather have a soda so that I can get a bit more energy which I need to stay awake and to energize myself when I'm at work.
Sodas are what many people buy theses days and don't give zero fucks about the stuff, we all going to die none the less, rather it be cancer, disease, car wreck, or murder, expectantly when your in poverty and you cannot afford the "healthy" goods that many people contently preach about.
