Do you have any source on those "canceled" NATO bases?
http://www.nti.org/gsn/article/benefits-tradeoffs-seen-canceling-planned-us-icbm-interceptors-europe/ I'd like to point out that the sites weren't designed to counter Russia ballistic missiles, but Iranian ones which played a big part (but not the sole deciding factor) in the facilities being cancelled due to a change in perceived threat from Iran's Ballistic missile program. Understandably your Government had a legitimate concern about the system and that's completely justified and understandable, and Obama had promised to work with Medvedev on the issue. After relations took a turn the US instead replaced the previously cancelled facilities with 'AEGIS ASHORE' which was to be ship based BMD/ASW missiles on shore facilities in Poland but was then later stalled and cancelled again, they still plan to put a Missile system in Poland.... Maybe/Eventually but not on any worth while scale and honestly it's kind of a waste at this point.
The Irony is that every president that takes office thinks that a 'Grand Deal' can be made with Russia in any capacity. Obama's Russian Reset had America back off from NATO commitments and Europe in order to improve relations with Russian including cancelling the planned bases and Missile defense systems in Poland, and while it seems like it was a good idea for while Russia just seemed to eventually see it as an opportunity to take advantage of us. Trump will fair no better.
Trump is completely different from Obama, Bush or Clinton however, he probably doesn't give a shit about maintaining a liberal world order, and sees the Russians as the enemy of his enemy. The previous Russian resets fell apart because those Presidents ultimately fell back on the same flawed assumptions that have always caused relations to deteriorate.
...So who's Trump's 'enemy'?
Globalists, neocons, neoliberals, Islamic extremists, etc... You'll notice a that many of the NeverTrumpers in the GOP were also the most anti-russian, going all the way back to the Ukraine crisis.
Disturbing signs in my opinion.

I was under the impression that they'd not only decided to take a chunk of a sovereign nation, but also violated a treaty that they themselves signed in 1994.
Disturbing signs in my opinion.
They're just going to train together and shit. Nothing disturbing.
They're just going to train together and shit. Nothing disturbing.
Gotta' force the WWIII meme. Can't make daddy Putin mad. I'm halfway ready to start calling these people out on paid shilling, do they actually believe this is cause for concern?
If I hear someone being called a shill again on this site I think I'm going to eat a potato. This goes for everyone. Unless you have proof, please refrain from calling people shills. Yeah people disagree and things and sometimes people are ridiculous with their opinions. Doesn't make them a shill.
Ladies and Gentlemen. Get ready for World War III.
whats the deal with people crying WW3 lately?
Globalist
i caught the other terms, but just what exactly is a globalist? i somewhat know what globalism is on the economical/business side of things, but is it really an ideology too?
whats the deal with people crying WW3 lately?
They've watched too many movies and think any sort of provocation means another global war. They also ignore the entirety of how relations were during the Cold War.

How is that Obama's fault. [editline]13th January 2017[/editline]
Globalists, neocons, neoliberals, Islamic extremists, etc... You'll notice a that many of the NeverTrumpers in the GOP were also the most anti-russian, going all the way back to the Ukraine crisis.
Pretty much everyone was against Russia for obvious reasons. When you rattle off globalists, neocons, and neoliberals I have to wonder who isn't Trumps enemy. I thought you meant ISIS initially but as far as I can tell Trump's enemy is basically the US government.
i caught the other terms, but just what exactly is a globalist? i somewhat know what globalism is on the economical/business side of things, but is it really an ideology too?
It's not, it's the new "illuminati". It's a scapegoat for people to blame all their problems on.
