Holy fuck I hope this is true MW3 had some of the worst map designs I've seen in video games. I dunno about Black Ops 2. I played over 100 hours of Black Ops 1 and it was a blast with friends, but MW3 was a complete disappointment. I'll have to wait and see.
MW3 maps were so tiny it was just impossible to get any real kill streaks going without camping.
MW3 maps were so tiny it was just impossible to get any real kill streaks going without camping.
Exactly. 90% of my deaths in MW3 can be attributed to being shot in the back because the maps are so small you can do a full circle in like 15 seconds.
Maybe they will upgrade their engine from MW1 and not use 128x128 textures for everything. Edit: Haha, yea right.

It's like beating a dead cow for milk.
It's like beating a dead cow for milk.
Hey you're only like the 4th person to say that in this thread, congratulations!
It's like beating a dead cow for milk.
I don't understand the use of this phrase in the context of successful franchises. A game is successful, so making a sequel to that game is milking it? What?
I don't understand the use of this phrase in the context of successful franchises. A game is successful, so making a sequel to that game is milking it? What?
It's not Valve so it is sh1tty
I actually can't tell if you're being serious about the 128x128 textures. Most weapon models and prop models are very low poly and Dx10/Dx11 is never used. No dynamic shadows either (even Source has them now!).
I don't understand the use of this phrase in the context of successful franchises. A game is successful, so making a sequel to that game is milking it? What?
A game is successful, so making a sequel that changes barely anything and uses 90% of the textures and models from the first game is milking. Same with charging $15 for a couple maps. Don't know why people are bringing this up here because a different company is making BO2 and it actually sounds like it's going to be a good game
I don't understand the use of this phrase in the context of successful franchises. A game is successful, so making a sequel to that game is milking it? What?
Call of Duty is the most repetitive series ever. They've used the same engine since CoD 4, all of the Modern Warfare games re-use textures and sounds, and the only noticeable differences are different weapons, 1 or 2 new perks, 1 or 2 new deathstreaks/killstreaks, and the campaign.

What?
It's trying to get more money from that franchise simply because that franchise did well. It's like getting more milk from a cow if you thought that the milk was good, but the cow will eventually run out of milk and you could damage the cow, meaning you can't get milk from the cow any more.
Looks like it is release date is on November 6th. Seriously, don't use contractions if you don't understand what they mean.
Who gives a shit? CoD has been dead since CoD 4
No killstreaks? I cannot believe this.
where does it say that?

The re-use of massive amounts of material isn't exclusive to CoD games. [editline]30th March 2012[/editline]
Who gives a shit? The game is not even bad if you play with friends. If your play alone you will rage, if you play with your friends you will laugh.

The very fact that the game can be described in the form of a changelog is testament to how copy and paste the whole thing is.
The very fact that the game can be described in the form of a changelog is testament to how copy and paste the whole thing is.
Are you kidding me? You can literally do this with any sequel.
Sniper Rifles Improved sniper rifle usage. No aim assist for any sniper rifle. Less sway

No aim assist for any sniper rifle
I defiantly approve this. Perhaps we will see an end to the quickscoping that has replaced sniping.

Billions of $$$ are worth more than some peoples opinions on a forum, they do not care and the consumers who buy CoD do not care.

We don't care.
I don't care about any of this, gimme zombies.
Kind of sucks that there can't be a single CoD thread riddled with dumb ratings and people bashing the series. I've always liked Treyarch's additions. I do enjoy MW3, but Treyarch seems to be the only ones to add new things into the mix. Their maps are pretty sweet too. On a balance point of view, the maps in MW3 can be pretty shitty. Just check the heatmaps for where most deaths happen in some of them and it's so obvious where the most-used camping spots are. The entire center of Hardhat is a camping spot. Hard enough to spot someone in there, and to top it off the roof is blocked so you can't take anyone out with air support
These changes look solid, Modern Warfare 3 played like it had someone on the design team full of great ideas, but only half of them got through. Question is, will Wager Matches and Zombie mode return?
Infected is the name of the Zombie mode, isn't it? Are they not returning it?
I think it's referring to the multiplayer mode, where one guy has to knife the other team, and when he gets someone he joins the knifing team as well.
