Secondly, even if we were talking about military, you've made huge [citation needed] statements there. Why wouldn't terrorists attack places given on the list?
why don't you cite some of the incredibly dangerous documents that wikileaks releases? the list of facilities was circulated between 2 million govt. employees and could be easily made with some time on wikipedia, google maps and a lot of determination.
Well, he's fucked.
I disagree, there's still hope. If he doesn't get jailed, he can still disappear if he's fast enough. And lucky. And needs diversions to keep the buggers offa him.

You know this very well could just be a coincidental sexual assault allegation being investigated and nothing to do with Wikileaks at all Celebrities get accused of shit all the time
You know this very well could just be a coincidental sexual assault allegation being investigated and nothing to do with Wikileaks at all Celebrities get accused of shit all the time
The amount of people (not so much here, people on FP aren't that dumb) who think this is justice for files being published is insane. On another site I likened it to Bush being arrested for a minor crime and people going about as if he had been arrested for war crimes.
Julian Assange found dead after he committed suicide by car bomb in his driveway. The noted pedophile was 39
You know this very well could just be a coincidental sexual assault allegation being investigated and nothing to do with Wikileaks at all Celebrities get accused of shit all the time
Possible, but not probable [editline]7th December 2010[/editline]
Julian Assange found dead after he committed suicide by car bomb in his driveway. If they bring Julian Assange to America, I'm going to protest. Because I have a very strong feeling that our idiotic government is going to call Julian a traitor. And since our legal system is fuck all retarded, somehow sentence him with death or life in prison. I hope I'm not the only one who feels the same way.
You know this very well could just be a coincidental sexual assault allegation being investigated and nothing to do with Wikileaks at all Celebrities get accused of shit all the time
the allegations themselves may be legitimate but the manner in which the prosecutors are behaving is pretty suspicious.
I say, sir... ...you 'dun goofed.
I swear, if they bring Julian over to America for trial, I'm going to be mad, because we all know the government is going to call him a traitor, even though he's never operated in America.
he was arrested for sexual assault in sweden and thats where he will be trialled.
I swear, if they bring Julian over to America for trial, I'm going to be mad,.
CAREFUL. HE'S GONNA RAGE. :byodood:
the allegations themselves may be legitimate but the manner in which the prosecutors are behaving is pretty suspicious.
They're rushing because they want to see their name next to a celebrity's.
This. The majority of Assange supporters seem to be left wing libertarian teenagers with little comprehension of the implications of the wikileaks releasing a lot of their stuff.
Assange is just a "voice" for wikileaks, Wikileaks would still be able to release documents even if he gets arrested or executed.
Minor news story: Visa have suspended all payments to Wikileaks pending investigation. Also some legal person on the news was just saying that if his lawyers have any serious belief that Sweden would attempt to pass him over to the US then it would be very easy for them to throw the warrant out.
The US diplomatic cables reveal some startling facts: the US asked its diplomats to steal personal human material and information from UN officials and human rights groups, including DNA, fingerprints, iris scans, credit card numbers, internet passwords and ID photos, in violation of international treaties. Presumably Australian UN diplomats may be targeted, too. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia asked the US officials in Jordan and Bahrain want [sic] Iran's nuclear program stopped by any means available. Britain's Iraq inquiry was fixed to protect "US interests". Sweden is a covert member of Nato and US intelligence-sharing is kept from parliament. The US is playing hardball to get other countries to take freed detainees from Guantánamo Bay. Barack Obama agreed to meet the Slovenian president only if Slovenia took a prisoner. Our Pacific neighbour Kiribati was offered millions of dollars to accept detainees. In its landmark ruling in the Pentagon Papers case, the US supreme court said "only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government". The swirling storm around WikiLeaks today reinforces the need to defend the right of all media to reveal the truth. some copypasta debate fuel, worth reading me thinks
It looks a bit similar.
Assange in court, LIVE here; http://www.vg.no/nyheter/utenriks/artikkel.php?artid=10012202 Just press play. (There's nothing exciting going on just yet, but it's worth having a look IMO - there will be a view of inside the court soon.) [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] I think...

If there were laws like in the US this would be prime internet TV viewing right now. I am going to need more screens if I want to keep up with what's going on.
Release the damn password already
need more courts like judge judys'
If Assange ever ends up in the US in court it better be broadcast like that.
You know this very well could just be a coincidental sexual assault allegation being investigated and nothing to do with Wikileaks at all Celebrities get accused of shit all the time
Yeah, these are the allegations of the rape-and-shit-that-didn't-happen. Hint: They were raised when a) he had sex without a condom (he pulled out though), and b) the two women learned that he was doing them at the same time (not literally at the same time though, or at least I think so)

It seems that Sweden has some strange rape laws that allow women to withdraw their consent after having sex.
need more courts like judge judys'
I can imagine her treating Assanage and Obama like kids, belittling them for the stupid things they've both done :v:
I can imagine her treating Assanage and Obama like kids, belittling them for the stupid things they've both done :v:
judge judy presiding over a treason trial would be fantastic.

From wikileaks Facebook: "Today's actions against our editor-in-chief Julian Assange won't affect our operations: we will release more cables tonight as normal"
