Mod for THUG2, I think there was a thread here about it some time. Basically most of the Tony Hawk game series maps put into one game with internet/LAN multiplayer support too.
CUSTOM SKATE PARK DESIGNER COME BACK
I MISS YOU SO MUCH
I remember making a amazing maze kinda map in THUG2 which people even "stole" and rehosted
[editline]17th February 2015[/editline]
on ps2
As long as it has a level editor it can't turn out too bad. I'm betting it'll have a hoverboard as an unlockable or secret though
If they ever announced an HD bundle of THUG and THUG2, I wouldn't even think before buying it.
That Kiss map rendered in HD would be fucking amazing.
By non-skateboard things I mean the non-skateboard things you still drove around on.
The off-board shit was great, I'm talking about the "still not on foot but also not a skateboard" things.
I absolutely hated the storyline in THUG2. It seemed really god damn stupid. The THUG1 storyline was great, but THUG2 I feel like they just wanted to push out another game without any idea for a story. I hated how different in tone the two games were. There were some better mechanics in the second, but overall, the first was much better.

Like honestly, I cannot tell you how many times I beat THUG1 was a kid, meanwhile, I never beat THUG2 until around last year.
It just never really gripped my attention.

Also some Tony Hawk music:

We need some Doom Guy and more THPS3 music in this thread

0:40 ''That's the same control scheme 2 years running, I bet you can't even kickflip'' :v:
(also Doom Guy is not a mod, he's a exclusive PC character, and THUG2 had Shrek if I remember correctly)

Oh man, this is the best song in the entire THPS 3 soundtrack (Bodyjar - Not The Same)

Indeed. I hope the next one has a good selection of songs like THPS3.
Remember when being able to get off your board to walk or skateboard physics were revolutionary features? :v:
I just bought THUG2, gonna stream it on Friday
What should I expect?

an old slightly weird skating game. if you bought it on pc, expect an awful port that full stop doesn't work on anything reasonably modern without mods

Awful in what way?
Brings back memories of playing THUG2 online with people having huge modded games going on. All those broken custom maps that people had that were just god-awful to look at but so fun to play. All of that is just a blur to me. I can barely remember what they were like, only that everything was a huge pile of shit and that they would provide hours of entertainment to dick around in.
It also helps to listen to those songs, the best parts of my childhood revolved around this game and how much fun I had online with it.

the controls are miserable even if you plug in a controller and there's a nasty blur bug that makes the game unplayable. there's a mod called THUG PRO that fixes it but at the cost of no story mode and crashes whenever you do something that modifies the level (ie. in new orleans you can knock skulls off some crypts and release a bunch of zombies)
I just hope it'll follow the same style as the older games. I still bust 'em out every now and then. Great stuff! Also loved the HD remake from a year or 2 ago. Bit too shabby content wise, but it was priced accordingly so..
I just want to see Neversoft come back from the dead to make the first decent Tony Hawk game since Proving Ground...
a man can dream, right

Basically Jackass Skateboarding.

Understatement of the year. It felt like you were riding a hoverboard. I would really really like a good (hell any at all) skateboard game again for PC, but ignoring HD the last one was released in 2006 for pc.
They should have used the Pro Skater 3 engine.

Or you could just get a patch like I did and have it run flawlessly at the cost of it not running at 1600x900

i don't know what you're talking about because i own a copy of THUG2, run it on the Windows 10 Tech Preview with a controller, and it runs perfectly fine without mods. it won't run in 1920x1080 without mods, but the game itself works great
maybe it works better in windows 10 but I know the game is completely unplayable on windows 8.1
