Donald Trump creates Voice agency to publish list of crimes by immigrants
The organization tracks the crimes of "aliens;" probably not referring to legals.
Just an FYI: there are two legal concepts, known as "legal alien" and "ilegal alien".
By only using the word "alien", he's suggesting that he will target both legal and illegal inmigrants
And before you pull the "it's only a matter of context, obviously it will only target illegals" and "this is just the media trying to spin his words to rally people against him" cards, let me tell you this: the damage has already been done.
Verbal mistake or not (And if it really WAS a mistake, then this is one hell of a monumental fuck-up for the head of state of a first world country. Sad, etc etc), he keeps digging holes and burning bridges between the american government and the rest of the world.
How is this not just a waste of government resources?
No one will staff it with the federal freeze
You pretty much nailed it for my friend who can't stop about sweden and immigrants and anything his YouTubers dislike it's insufferable. What can even be done to counter that sort of tactic?
More good news.
That's really it. If you've got something like Yassin Falafel coming out every day, that will override the negative content and give people a more positive view of immigrants.
As the media, we're really failing to report on the good as well as the bad, and that's a systemic issue. But in an area like this, where people only hear about immigrants in negative terms, it's really reinforcing all of these negative stereotypes, and that's something we have to work on too.
Here's an even better thought - leave immigrants the fuck alone and stop trying to single them out everything they do,good or bad, when all they want to do is to integrate and be a part of the community they've sacrificed so much for to join.
I'm not sure I agree. We've seen how African-American race relations have progressed since civil rights, we're still not in the best of places there. If we want to dispel the rampant xenophobia in our culture, we've got to be active, not passive.
One countries cover up basically everything bad related to immigrants, other expose everything bad done by them. No Golden Mean in this world.

Just wanted to say I appreciate the link. It's nice to find something actually heartwarming in SH from time to time.

I've known Yassin for a few years now, he's pretty fantastic. I'm not sure where Jack got the idea for the documentary, but I'm glad he did.
The shop's been packed, lines out the door, since that dropped. The community's really stepped up to show its support.
This is the most sinister thing he's done so far isn't it?
If this is unrelated i apologise but in the scenario where he's replaced by Pence, would that be better or worse?
Pence is someone I can't find much information about and the stuff i do find is ethier horribly biased supporting him or just, well, bizarre.
It's generally accepted that Pence would have a lot if shitty policies, but he wouldn't shred our foreign relations or act like a buffoon on twitter, as well as respect the rule of law.
Damn, I remember some guy with a bad mustache did the same thing, targetting a particular demographic to instill fear which resulted in ignorance to allow more than millions of those people to die.
With more lax "second amendment people", the fact that some people won't believe this will happen is fucking hilarious.
The worst part of this for me is that no matter what he does, people will support him and say "Yes, he should do that because it will bring jobs into America and reduce crime." These people base their facts off of nothing except that Mr Trump said it.
I live in Georgia and all the time I see big Trump bumper stickers(basically a big sign that says "I'm stupid"). I really wonder what it'll take for these people to open their eyes to what is happening in this country.
