Extremism...? Do you know what extremism is? Republicans and Democrats are both very centrist groups.

Not exactly...Obama has done little to undo what Bush did.
Oh the missinformed.
Ofcourse Obama never created the stimulus package that caused lots of jobs to be created...but you listen to fox news.
Have a good day, sir.

What has Obama done to undo what Bush did, however?
PATRIOT act? Guantanamo Bay? Warrantless wiretapping?

Unless you make $500k or more a year, you have absolutely no reason to vote republican

queers make me feel uncomfortable that's why i vote republican
queers make me feel uncomfortable that's why i vote republican
Especially when they hit on you.
I vote republican because I want homeless on every street corner to clean my windshield for a quarter.
I vote Republican because Jesus
I vote Republican because I love getting fucked up the ass by corporations!
Especially when they hit on you.
like that happens regularly
i might consider voting republican when they stop having a moronic social platform
i.e. probably never
I like how everyone is saying Democrats are moderate right. You'll find that besides the last 2 democratic presidents the Democrats in general are more centrist, slightly to the left even. The Democrats have always been slightly progressive ever since FDR. I think you guys somehow think that the rest of the world is only the rest of the western world. Compared to the middle east no party in America could be called remotely conservative, same somewhat goes for china. The "world" isn't more liberal than America, just the rest of the western world for the most part.
It's normal to compare the western countries to other western countries you see
Fuck I live in Texas how will this apply to me?
Fuck I live in Texas how will this apply to me?
It won't change a thing. There's no separate Tea Party being formed, these guys are just grouping together in the Texas legislature. They're still Republicans.
Especially when they hit on you.
ey there wanna fuck
America will alawys be a two-party system of extremism.
No it will always be a two party system of conservatives and then far-right conservatives.

being authoritarian or tyrannical does not make you right wing or left wing. Just because some countries may let school girls burn down with buildings, it doesn't make them conservative or right wing nor does it make them "liberal" or left wing. America gets compared to North American, (some) South American, and European nations because they have similar political ideologies and cultural beliefs. Compared to those similar nations, the US as a whole is very right wing.

It makes more sense to compare the US to the west due to cultural similarities.
On a different note: the "scale" from right to left that people/nations are said to fall on is a pretty poor representation of political and economic ideology.
Err, the left isn't that extreme. Barrack Obama actually was fairly centrist when he was a candidate.
Extremism? Democrats and Republicans are so much alike, it's embarrassing. They fight over issues to get votes. Same overall agenda.
Oh dear, I got disagrees. Looks like some FP'ers can't take the knowledge of knowing their country is governed by idiots. Also, it sucks knowing that you have 2 parties to vote between, but they're both the same! Wooo

or maybe your post is wrong
Same overall agenda.
not even close to correct
There's Democrats in Texas?
Err, the left isn't that extreme. Barrack Obama actually was fairly centrist when he was a candidate.
Still is.
[editline]18th December 2010[/editline]
by american standards anywho
There's Democrats in Texas?
Yes, infact, New York State is more republican than Texas based on currently sitting members of state legislature
[editline]18th December 2010[/editline]
i might consider voting republican when they stop having a moronic social platform
i.e. probably never
Actually that could change soon considering all the tea partiers are about to leave the republican party, and lose their massive influence over the party social platform
There's Democrats in Texas?
The major cities in Texas happen to be relatively left wing.

Isn't the only reason for being a red state because it's completely gerrymandered?
Isn't the only reason for being a red state because it's completely gerrymandered?
No, it's mainly due to the fact a bunch of democrats representives fled the state twice to prevent the Legislature from convening because they couldn't get their way, with the Democrats having until the next session literally 48% of the house in their control
personally, i'm going to be happy when the us government caves in
it can't reform peacefully, so it'll have to the hard way
not even close to correct
Haha you know absolutely nothing of American politics then. Enjoy being another uninformed individual while the corporate oligarchy controls your country. Democrats, Republicans, ect. It's all about pleasing your constituents to stay in power. These constituents include us, the voters, and also the massive corporations who, up til now, have had limits on how much money they could donate to campaigns. Republicans love that military industrial complex and those awesome Democrats love the telecommunications. Same agenda bro.
I suggest you try out Reddit if you wish to learn more. Otherwise you have no business here
Centrist? The republicans are far right and democrats moderate right. They are nowhere near the center and if they were they would be called communists. That's life in America.
The Republicans are moderate right and Democrats are center to very moderate left. Learn your politics bro. Even with the TEA Party Movement it just forces the Republican Party to become a little more libertarian to make up for the far right "libertarians" that make up the TEA Party.
Oh the missinformed.

A stimulus act started by bush. Obama expanded upon it. Obama also renewed the patriot act. He failed to shut down Guantanamo Bay. He failed to pull out of Iraq. Obama has failed to fix any major problem that Bush created. I'm liberal and I feel sorry for anyone who has been duped into thinking Obama is anything near a good president or even a step up from Bush.
Actually that could change soon considering all the tea partiers are about to leave the republican party, and lose their massive influence over the party social platform
I doubt that will happen. The Republicans will move to get back the TEA Party voters. Since just about everyone in the TEA Party was Republican it would just split the Republican Party apart if the TEA Party became fully independent of the Republicans.
[editline]19th December 2010[/editline]
Also the stimulus act didn't create any jobs, if anything it might have possibly saved some jobs. You are the misinformed, itsjustguy.
