From everything I've seen or heard about him he's probably just not into people. He probably just wanted to share his tapes with his friends back in the 90's, he doesn't seem like he's into the idea of being famous for writing music. Honestly I think he's just not good with the public in general. But I mean neither is Brian Wilson so you can be socially awkward and still make great music, maybe it even gives you a slight advantage.

I never really got into them. Some of the stuff they did was really off-putting to me.
I like a lot of stuff so I was really surprised that I didn't like them. I might relisten.
I don't get their popularity. Sorta like Daft Punk, except I don't like NMH.

If they come within 200 miles of me, road fuckin trip. I don't care what anybody says, I like NMH and would love going to their show
