Not of the game itself or of the game play, but (i'm particularly referencing manhunt 2) they said it affected them mentally just from how disturbing part of the game were. Especially when working with that sort of thing as your day to day job, I could see why. Manhunt 2 is by far Rockstar's darkest game, at times that game is fucking twisted.
It was fantastic at that. I liked where they were pushing things with it though I can imagine the research involved was probably affecting them. [editline]25th October 2011[/editline]
If there are any UK characters in gta5, i want one of them to be voiced by jason statham. Total bad ass.
I hope for all that is holy they don't get some big generic name like him to voice. They need GOOD actors to voice some actual parodies of relevant stereotypes, the Geezer stereotype doesn't fucking exist anymore. People act like everyone in London is going to be like they're from The Getaway but fact is those stereotypes aren't common nor funny anymore. If anything I want some completely nuts character from Sheffield or something. The preacher comic had a private sexual detective from Sheffield and he was down-right hilarious and a way better character than any bullshit cockney stereotype that could've been churned out.
needs ridiculousness like SA had
needs ridiculousness like SA had
Cluckity fuck, may I take your order?
I think everyone here has some nostalgia goggles on about San Andreas. It really wasn't that "wacky" or great. Sure, if you put on cheats to get a jetpack and unlimited ammo, then it was pretty "wacky" , but just the setting and story-line itself wasn't that great.
You have to admit though, as the acts went on, the missions and plotline got more and more unhinged. With the entire Los Santos area rioting at one point. It wasn't batshit insane wacky (we have Saints Row for that), but it was pretty ridiculous at times.
Come on Vice city.
Hopefully the PC version isn't some shoddy unoptimised console port.
Hopefully there WILL be a PC version.
Come on Vice city.
Please not Vice City, it's just a fucking bland city. I live in Upwards Miami, and I think that there is nothing to make a GTA about here. Nothing at all. Los Angeles, New York, London, Toronto, Texas, Las Vegas all deserve a GTA. Well I don't think Texas would be a good GTA

I heard rumours that it's to be set in a city similar to Los Angeles. If that's the case it's going to suck large schlong. Let's hope it remains a rumour.
I heard rumours that it's to be set in a city similar to Los Angeles. If that's the case it's going to suck large schlong. Let's hope it remains a rumour.
How so? Regardless of where they set it they can always make it fun I don't see what the problem will be.
I swear in SA I never memorised ANYWHERE. Hell, I get lost in every city with the exception of the Gambling one. I fucking loved driving through the woods to K-DST though
I still get lost in Liberty City on GTAIV :v: [editline]25th October 2011[/editline] I use taxis whenever I can because I'm too lazy to drive
I would love a GTA V being based on London, but I doubt it.
Wouldn't make much sense though
I hope it has some realism that GTA4 series brought in, I like the physics enhancements. But, IMO, I'd rather it be not San Andreas. It's because of the story line, could use more of the fun of it though, less of Grovestreet. Something more intimidating and flashy, imagine running with Yakuza downtown Tokyo (maybe thinking of a wrong game here)
Liberty city stories and vice city stories felt really bland to me, maybe because at that point I already played too much SA.
Hopefully there WILL be a PC version.
Rockstar already confirmed that.
Whenever I play GTA IV, I normaly stop after an hour and find my old copy of Vice city. I'm really hoping they bring something really really cool to the table. GTA IV was a good game, no denying. Probably best in that year, But for me it didn't bring the same sparks as the others. But maybe GTA V finds something like Vice city did, We still have little idea. But a new San Andreas would be cool in my books. Here's me crossing my fingers, alone, that one day they will have another crack at Vice city and adapt it like they did for liberty city. Please keep in mind, this is just my personal opinon. If you have a different thought, thats fine with me, but this is just how i feel. I'm not setting anything in stone.
GTA SA on film: As much as I liked it's insane missions, I think Saints row covers that now.
I wish we still had the :gizz: emote. it would sum up this thread The problem of having a GTA in the UK would be they would have to justify police having guns by making up some bullshit or something.
Day 1 buy. Will play the shit out of it.
I've owned every GTA game yet I only completed Vice City (which is the best).
Something more intimidating and flashy, imagine running with Yakuza downtown Tokyo (maybe thinking of a wrong game here)
Perhaps the Yakuza series of games?
FUCK YES i hope its in san andreas i swear to god

I wonder if they will actually base it outside of America? Also what time frame they will base it in.
How so? Regardless of where they set it they can always make it fun I don't see what the problem will be.
I'm sure they will make it fun. L.A just strikes me as a bit of a 'boring city'. If you compared it to New York like GTA IV, there's a lot of landmarks and such. It's a shame Driver just took San Fransisco, that could have been done well by Rockstar.
I wonder if they will actually base it outside of America? Also what time frame they will base it in.
Indications seem to be at least somewhat recent, given that there are reports of various in-game websites already such as "cashfordeaddreams" and "LifeInvader" and one that seems to be a parody of Goldman Sachs. And it wouldn't be the first time GTA has been outside of the U.S.
If they wanted to do San Fran they would, just because Driver did it is no reason to avoid it.
Yes it is. It would be highly criticised as a 'similar game'. Significantly reducing sales.
