No, I care about space. It's just that half of Facepunch has some delusion that humanity is going to become Star Wars and find millions of aliens and colonize planets and space fighters and all that all within their lifetime.
A man can dream :saddowns:

Space exploration is a great possibility. Of course, it's not happening within mine. Maybe within my children's grandchildren's children's lifetime. (in before "lol, how can you have children if you'd die alone) Neither in that lifetime, is it likely to occur that we'd run into LOLAHLEEUNZ. Of course, this is not taking into account the tension between nations going on right now.
Why does it feel like the space race/cold war all over again, but with china/ russia/ USA? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i am getting that feeling.....love how history tends to repeat itself.
It's like a who's the best superpower contest or something like that.
Maybe they just enjoy thinking about what's out there?
that's nice
thought you didn't care about space either :o
I'm making a space mod
This. Russia makes simple yet amazing tech. AK47 is still better and cheaper than most rifles
Small fyi, Russian military hasn't used ak47's in a very long time.
Small fyi, Russian military hasn't used ak47's in a very long time.
They DO use a variant, the AK-74
They DO use a variant, the AK-74
Yeah but it's not the same.
They DO use a variant, the AK-74
That is indeed true, but it's being phased out by the the AK-105... A new version AK-74. They keep getting better and better. :3: [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline]
Yeah but it's not the same.
Um, the AK-74 is an updated version of the AKM, which is an updated version of the AK-47.
That is indeed true, but it's being phased out by the the AK-105... A new version AK-74. They keep getting better and better. :3:
Nope. The Russian Ground Forces are still holding on to their AK-74Ms, though various online sources say that the AK-105 is going to replace the AKS-74U. After all, 105 is a carbine and not a full-length rifle.

They used a modernised version of the Ak-74, and they also use the variants
That's only talk. We want to see the real thing
We should do more space races. The US beat the Russians to the moon, now they will try to beat them to mars, then the US again to another planet, and so on untill we leave the solar system.
That concept render of the X-37B in the OP is ugly as hell.
probably explode while exiting the atmosphere 9/10 times
Yes, Russian space tech being unreliable is exactly why Soyuz is still the single most popular and reliable space launch vehicle in the world :downs: [editline]4th February 2011[/editline]
This. If they had the same absurdly large budget the US military has, they'd probably achieve parity with US tech, or even superiority in certain fields e.g. thermobaric warheads (they're quite fond of those)
