Bombs? :frog:
I know going out with a bang sounds cool and all, but seriously, bombs?
[editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
Oh look, a picture of the killer.

Funny, the little while that this guy is remembered, is for the senseless violent acts that he committed.
Nothing else. But was he something else? I don't know. He's dead. And it didn't say in the article.
I suppose one could correlate car companies to auto accidents, home builders to house fires, pharmacists to accidental overdoses, and Poison to shitty music but the true blame lies with the perpetrator themself. Fun Fact: Deaths relating to pharmaceuticals dropped significantly when they passed restrictions on how many tablets are available in each packet. Why didn't more people just buy two packets?

How does that fit into your pseudo-logic?
My eyes :suicide:
For any people that say more guns provokes more violence:
Lower murder rates in foreign countries prove that gun control works.
False. This is one of the favorite arguments of gun control proponents, and yet the facts show that there is simply no correlation between gun control laws and murder or suicide rates across a wide spectrum of nations and cultures. In Israel and Switzerland, for example, a license to possess guns is available on demand to every law-abiding adult, and guns are easily obtainable in both nations. Both countries also allow widespread carrying of concealed firearms, and yet, admits Dr. Arthur Kellerman, one of the foremost medical advocates of gun control, Switzerland and Israel "have rates of homicide that are low despite rates of home firearm ownership that are at least as high as those in the United States." A comparison of crime rates within Europe reveals no correlation between access to guns and crime.
After the 1997 shooting of 16 kids in Dunblane, England, the United Kingdom passed one of the strictest gun-control laws in the world, banning its citizens from owning almost all types of handguns. Britain seemed to get safer by the minute, as 162,000 newly-illegal firearms were forked over to British officials by law-abiding citizens.
But this didn't decrease the amount of gun-related crime in the U.K. In fact, gun-related crime has nearly doubled in the U.K. since the ban was enacted.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
Read this. Notice a correlation now?
Also notice how Switzerland has the 14th highest firearm death rate in the world?
And how you're nearly 17 times more likely to die from a gunshot in Switzerland rather than England with it's 'failed gun laws'.
Come on JDK, do you really need a citation to prove that gun control isn't taking guns away from anyone already breaking the law?
Where do you think dem criminals get the super illegal firearms from? They don't build them out of old pipes with their bare hands in tool sheds.
The civilian arms industry :downs:. Go figure.

Nope, let's remember the operation on Rio de janeiro, for example, most of the weapons were old WW2 surplus put together with some scrap or really made from old pipes like you said, the rest were stolen from the police and legal firearms are pretty much non-existent on this country, they are owned only by farmers or security personnel.
So do you really think banning firearms will stop gun crime ? obviously not, people will always find a way to acquire them, to gain superiority in combat, it happens since the cavemen crafted their first spears and it will keep on going, you shouldn't blame the tools, only the criminals, a decent law enforcement is what stopped gun crime on developed countries. If we start banning everything for the "Safety and well-being of the population", we'll end up in cages.
anyways.. just my 2 cents on the matter with an argument everyone already heard but keeps on ignoring.
how did a 24 year old obtain so many guns legally? O_o whose selling guns to all these sickos but not me?? fuk dis country!!

No it won't stop crime. But it stops the number of deaths.
This goes back the the pharmacy case I used earlier.
This guy had lots of guns legally, one day he snapped and killed 6 people. If he didn't have all those guns, six people would still be alive. You seriously going to argue otherwise?
People like you, and others in this thread suffer from such a broken logic.

I'm not in favor of banning guns completely, but I'd say the US does need more gun control.
and stop using that ridiculous argument "people will do it anyway." should murder be legalized too? after all, people still commit it even when it carries a death sentence in many US states.
It's all been proven multiple times by many different people and I know that you've seen it.
They haven't found any bombs.
Gun control has pro's and cons, mostly lunatics and suicidal people who don't want to go alone do shit like this, even more when guns are allowed.
On the other hand, less could be killed, or if the person has a really bad sense of what's going on or none or limited training, more.1
But i'm happy we got gun control here in holland, i've never seen a gun in my life (exept from games but those don't count), the closest thing of a gun i've heared is of a far friend who got arrested on a home invasion charge with involved a firearm.
Hey toxkee
We never heard of guns in the south here hmm ? :v:
Even more people have died now. I think it's up to 12, IIRC.
You guys are making jokes here about how people got shot and even killed, while some are still fighting for their lives. People saw their family getting shot. And you just make jokes about it?

What are we supposed to do? Cry a river?
No , just go make fun of people dying or being traumatized.
Hmm apparently none of the deaths were children, the youngest person (excluding the killer) who died was 42 years old

I don't think they care
Guys after doing some internet detective work, I found out he has an xfire account. And that he plays America's Army!
Jack thompson will have a field day when he finds out.

His nickname is Rugersonline, a webshop that sells guns lol.

Hum yes, regulation is good, banning is not...nothing else to say on it.
People will do what ? buy guns to shoot cans ? how is that bad ? i don't get your logic.

Because if he couldn't buy it he wouldn't have it! wow! that is so simple! i mean that's why we have no murders then! It's against the law so no one d-
Oh yeah, nevermind.
Even if we found a way to completely ban and stop something, and potentially save 10 lives a year, would you really give away the right to use it because a single crazy guy abused his right ? would you deny everyone else rights because of one guy ? The same goes for drugs, cars and pretty much anything else remotely dangerous. And i'd rather live with some freedom instead of complete control and safety, where i could buy a pellet gun without the fucking special forces showing on my doorstep.
what's with all the shootings nowadays? is it a fad?

shootouts like these would be more common if guns were legal in the netherlands. so no thanks.
Crimes involving guns are rare enough for me, no need to bring more guns into our society
Sounds to me that he got the weapon illegally. Or it was modified.
Where would you get the idea that it was modified? Where the hell does it mention gun modification? You should work for Fox News, with that kind of amazing speculation.
What would have been modified anyways? The fact that it shoots bullets?

It shoots the whole bullet.
That's 65% more bullet, per bullet.
