That makes more sense - but what of the status bar? It's brighter and larger than the clock and never changes.
The status bar isn't brighter at all, the clock is white and the bar is green tinted grey as of JVK.
EDIT: Actually as of JVK it's black. It was only the froyo grey shade in early leaked 2.3.3 firmwares.
nice
Now all we have to do is make OLED Ultra High Definition Televisions.

My galaxy S has no burn in whatsoever with the status bar on the top, and I browse fuckloads on this thing not just turning it on for 30 secs to reply to texts.

Are you on froyo, gingerbread or Ice cream sandwich?
And as always, the prices will go down significantly, the first LCD tvs were expensive as hell too, so were the first home computers and even the first game consoles.
Yes, but I wouldn't expect it to get cheaper nearly as quick as LCD's
LCD's are cheap because the same tech has been used for years, it's just the fact that CCFL's weren't widely used except in office buildings, so they just had to get a way to mass produce that type of lighting and balance it out to make it look good on a screen.
OLED's are a different beast. Nothing used them before the first device with an OLED screen, it's all brand-new tech. Tech that is much more expensive to produce on any scale compared to LCD.
Sure the price will go down, but I don't think it will be anytime soon.
I honestly cannot even imagine watching a video in UHD.
It would basically be like real life. So hi-res, so smooth (120fps) in conjunction with the clarity of OLED panels you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
I love how these tv's don't have borders or anything, it is just the screen and a little logo on the bottom.
Samsung has one like this, but it is a 55 inch 3D LED T.V. Still sexy though.
Here's a bigger picture.
that's unbelievably real
it looks like someone photoshopped a photo over the monitor
I love how these tv's don't have borders or anything, it is just the screen and a little logo on the bottom.
Just wait for that "design" to be patented by one company or another :v:
So thin and smooth, damn I wish I was rich.

SOON.
What language is that?
the AMOLED screens don't seem any more prone to burn-in than any other kind of screen
i've had a samsung captivate with AMOLED ever since it came out, everything is still completely clear

Czech
I cannot wait until these screens really start to get cheap to use as a computer monitor.
Why do I have the feeling that this is going to cost a boatload of money?
2 years ago, a 3 inch Sony OLED tv cost $3000
Want
Wow, gotta go win the lottery now bye.
Seriously though, it looks brilliant, I've had a Galaxy S and currently have the SII and I love how colourful the screens are, to have a TV like that would be awesome.
Another one of the things that is going on my list of: I want these things so damn bad but I will never get them :(
But where will the inputs be? In the base?
It would basically be like real life. So hi-res, so smooth (120fps) in conjunction with the clarity of OLED panels you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
its like the porn shoot is RIGHT IN MY ROOM!
a long time ago if a tv fell on someone they could be seriously hurt
now it is the other way around
a long time ago if a tv fell on someone they could be seriously hurt

With a screen thickness of 4mm, you could probably make tears in it just by walking past.
that's unbelievably real

I wonder why that is.
"Okay, there should an HDMI port on this si-WHERE DID IT GO?!"
Reminds me of the DX:HR computers

The screen actually looks sharper than the girls face.
wat

I assume they did sharpen it for the "better than real life" effect.
Or it's just depth of field focus
