Texas judge warns of civil war if Obama is re-elected

The only good Republican candidates imo was Jon Huntsman and Gary Johnson (before they both dropped out and Gary moved to the Libertarian Party to become it's candidate, so he's still running.)
Did I say I supported any of them? No, I said that there were better choices out there, and I provided some examples. Feel free to say they're shitty, but automatically assuming I support both of them is just wrong.
They're not better choices.
Maybe saying support was the wrong word.
I don't need a guy who wants to get rid of all government programs for the sake of getting rid of government programs and ignores modern economics, or a man who believes that colleges indoctrinate youth, compared gay marriage to bestiality and pedophilia, doesn't believe in global warming, and all sorts of crazy garbage.

???????????????????????????????????????
If someone holds an opinion of something they should be judged?
Watching American politics make me feel like I'm watching a kid crying in Walmart because his mom didn't buy him a toy.
I haven't been following specifics as I don't live in the States and the entire thing is just a mess. Please educate me (a Canadian) on what Santorum's ideologies make him more batshit than Romney.
for one thing, literally everything about his stance went against the US Constitution (which he spent his entire run championing as the essence of freedom, crying bald eagles and apple pies), namely his incredibly biased stance towards Christianity. if you aren't informed, the Constitution states that the government can never be angled towards religion, and should remain either atheist or even entirely apatheistic.
not only that, but he was also strongly pro-life (which, by definition, means he wasn't pro-choice, which has some very bad connotations), and didn't believe in gay marriage, constantly citing the American Nuclear family as "true marriage". he was basically a religious nutjob.
Romney, on the other hand, is basically a landed fish with the way his policies flip and flop about. at least with him there's a mild chance that he might do something slightly beneficial by accident, but Santorum was dead-set on his policies, which of course wouldn't have brought anything good to America.
I'm not even an American and I know these things. get with the times, bro.
Ron Paul is good.
Don't call it a grave, call it the future you chose.

even Gary Johnson has his fatal flaw: he wants to pull money from education. that is absolutely the last thing the US needs. I'm also pretty sure there was something about Huntsman that killed his chances with the majority of the people who'd heard of him, but I can't remember what.
Ron Paul is good.

except for the fact that ron paul hates black people and mexicans
but other than that yeah man free market free anarcho-capitalism freedom free speech free choice

no hes not lol
I'm not very happy with the idea of killing all government programs and him ignoring modern economics.

Ron Paul is a crackpot.
When Ragnarok comes, don't say he didn't warn you.
Back on topic if Texas tries anything they will be destroyed.

Yeah seriously, this shit happens way too fucking much here.
Oh shush, there's nothing wrong with supporting republicans. Being a republican doesn't imply conservative social ideas, extremism or stupidity.
their economic policies are objectively bad and no one in wealthy European countries (including your country Norway) has any of those policies (or at least has as many)

Ireland is more fiscally conservative than the US. US leans more towards corporatism. Besides each partisan philosophy works in unique situations.
I live in Texas and support Obama.
I better the fuck out before my house gets firebombed.

As a Canadian myself, I don't know how you can be so misinformed.
Santorum, while economically bad, is a social conservative to the fullest extent of the word. This is not a good thing. This is not progress.
Okay, gentlemen, I know you all like the 'laugh at texas/conservatives/whatever' bandwagon, but do you not think the fact that so many people are threatening VIOLENCE over a PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION is cause for more alarm than hilarity?

Also known as murder.
Not this threat of Civil War shit
Remember this is one county judge out of 254 counties, who resides over the medium-small city of Lubbock in the north west region of nowhere. This man speaks for himself, not Texas.
I mean, I would be sad if Romney won, but I would not like, start a war over it.
So full of idiots on this thread, bye I'll go back to LMAO pics.
Man gets elected through democratic process.
Civil war.
One man says he wants Civil War if Obama wins.
All of Texas is an awful place.

it reminds me of how some people were saying that American citizens should raid their nearest military base and start an armed revolution if the Occupy protests didn't pull through. here on FP, no less.

Misinformed people are only terrible when they think they know everything
Do you know that not everyone has the same idea as everyone else? It's called an opinion, if you disagree with it, that's fine.

You know Steven Harper is essentially Bush 2.0 right?
As in, he's going to fuck Canada as hard as Bush fucked America by the time he's finally kicked out of office.
Okay, you know what.
Let them fight, this has been approaching for far to long and these people are being greedy bastards because they know Obama is going to win.
Agreed, if they honestly want to fight then let's just do it already and get this over with. Everyone knows how it'll end.
Man gets elected through democratic process.
Civil war.
Except that's how the last American civil war started.

It was just as dumb of a reason then as it is now.
