Oh yeah no doubt but it still results in 15% consumer tax and 50% income tax.
With health insurance premiums going up 20% or more every year, we'll be at 50% of most people's income within a few years anyway. At least government insurance won't cancel your policy and pocket the premiums when you actually do get sick. Also, 50% income tax in Canada is a myth, only people in the highest tax bracket pay anything near that, and that's with federal and provincial taxes combined: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/fq/txrts-eng.html
^Do Not Want, Yet Obama does.
actually a majority of Americans want a public option, but if you only read polls conducted on the fox news website, of course you're going to see different results [editline]10:42AM[/editline]
Oh yeah no doubt but it still results in 15% consumer tax and 50% income tax.
lol you don't pay taxes. You're, what, 17? [editline]10:43AM[/editline]
Hahaha, Kid Rock is so awesome. :v:
no he's not, he's the only person in the world who is both a bad country musician and a bad rapper. No one else can lay claim to that title.
Here's the video if anyone hasn't seen it: http://www.foxnews.com/search-results/m/29062241/kid-rock-sits-down-with-megyn-kelly.htm [editline]12:54PM[/editline] At least he's honest. "I probably shouldn't be really talking about politics. I'm not that educated."
why would anybody buy a toyota anyway
I thought most of the Hollywood stars have Priuses, not Europeans. And last time I checked, Hollywood was in USA.
Hollywood stars have drive Lambo's more than anything. [editline]12:26PM[/editline]
why would anybody buy a toyota anyway
My MR2 was the shit! Until the transmission exploded. Hey, the car was from 1987, and I looked like a badass driving that shit.
actually a majority of Americans want a public option, but if you only read polls conducted on the fox news website, of course you're going to see different results
What polls say this?(the ones saying they want it) If this is true, then why did "The Kennity seat" go red? Remember, Scot Brown ran as the 41'st vote against this form of reform. Why do the people in congress have to "Force" this reform through?
I saw a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert last year, and they had him come on and do a few songs. Still remains the only time I have ever walked out during a concert in my life.
Also, 50% income tax in Canada is a myth, only people in the highest tax bracket pay anything near that, and that's with federal and provincial taxes combined: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/fq/txrts-eng.html
Then what the fuck has my dad been bitching about for the last fifteen years. This is including RRSP's, Employment Insurance, etc.?
lol you don't pay taxes. You're, what, 17?
19 and just started this year. It is a confusing, terribly-worded nightmare. And its not even tax-time.
Then what the fuck has my dad been bitching about for the last fifteen years. This is including RRSP's, Employment Insurance, etc.?
I'm going by actual province/federal taxes here. Does your dad make more than $130k a year? From my limited information, that's the only time you'd pay close to 50% in income taxes.

Not like he sits me down when he calculates his yearly income or anything. He never did state 50%, but he's always been (Well, not always, but frequently) complaining about the government taking half his money. Also, military.

Kennedy's seat went red because the Democrat campaigning for it was a stupid complacent moron who assumed victory was a given and didn't bother to go around and actually stroke people for a vote. People respond more to perceived indifference than actual political positions. Congress is trying to make this happen because they were elected by campaigning on it, and polls show a majority support for it. This is democratic process, nobody is "forcing" anything. Stop listening to Fox News blathering on about socialists forcing government healthcare, nothing could be further from the truth. [editline]03:26PM[/editline]
$80k~ range last I ever heard. Not like he sits me down when he calculates his yearly income or anything. Government-only taxes should be 35-40%, which is roughly what the richest tax bracket in the US pays. But, for that money you get to live with the knowledge that if you or your family get hurt or sick, you can basically walk into a hospital and get the care you need. Your dad may feel differently, but from the perspective of someone who will likely have no healthcare starting a week from now when I turn 21, that's completely worth the money. There's nothing unreasonable about it when viewed in the context of the rest of the industrialized world's tax rates, and despite the higher taxes, most of those countries have higher standards of living and life expectancies than the US.
condominiums do suck, though.

Maybe more-so.
Kid Rock...I never thought he was a smart person, and this just proves what I thought. I mean, he can't even right a song, and has to steal it from other bands.
The proles have no money therefore they are worse than me and I should not have to help them.
Kid Rock's music is my nightmare
Ooh, I was going to say that! D: Anyway, why are so many Americans in opposition to free healthcare? Are they honestly suggesting that poor people who get sick should just be left to die? On a side note, what exactly is a "condo"? I've heard the term bandied about on American television a lot and I'm aware it stands for condominium. I always assumed it was an apartment until an episode of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air had Will pretending to live by himself when in fact he was homeless (I'm sure there was a reason for this) and decided to fess up to Uncle Phil:
Will: Uncle Phil, I don't have an apartment. Carlton: Right, right! It's actually a condo!

Because Europe's view of America is totally justified. We're all fat, we're all jerkasses, we all whack off to our flag we're so zealously patriotic, and none of us know shit about shit.
Because that's the view of the whole Europe, and everybody in it.
Kid Rock... xD
What are you talking about our Health Care sucks. We're too few spread over too far and it makes the entire system inefficient and expensive at the same time.
In my experiences, the service here, both in Vancouver and in Halifax. Has been satisfactory. I have been served in an orderly and efficent manner for all ranges of medical issues
We don't have condos in the UK, but I always thought they looked awesome :
Thats his nightmare? living in that with a great car? Only in America.
No you don't, You're younger than me.
Just because I'm younger than you didn't mean I didn't go to college before you. It's not that hard to get a year and a half of college done while in highschool.
lolbertarian "I'm doing fine, why should anybody need help?"
I'm doing fine cause My family works their ass off to get to where we are. Sure some people need help, but I'm not going to have my taxes raised so my girlfriends lazy ass dad can sit on his fat ass and get free healthcare. Plain and simple if you want things in your life YOU have to work to get them, and I am not going to carry anyone but my own children. Fuck big government, fuck that bullshit regulation. You folks in Europe may think we're stupid and in the past, but at least i can walk outside with my 1911 in holster saying "FUCK YOU OBAMA". Yeah it sounds hickish, but it's my damn right to do so.
Because when I want to know what's going on with the government, my first thought is "I wonder what Kid Rock would do?" Is Fox News that desperate to bring on someone like him to discuss politics? It's pretty pitiful.
Actually, it's brilliant. Remember, Fox panders to idiots. They bring people who agree with their views and have no idea what they're talking about, but still influence a large audience (in this case, rednecks). The mess that comes out makes the conservative view in the viewers stronger. They do the same thing with reporters. Glenn Beck has a talk show, but he uses it to present news and states his opinion as fact even if he doesn't know the subject matter. The viewers either agreed with them already or were caught up in these and other shady tactics.
If this is true, then why did "The Kennity seat" go red? You can't attribute the reason for the result of a single, one-state election to a nationwide issue. That's not realistic politics. But then again, you're glaber, the confurvative who knows nothing about how the American government works, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Why do the people in congress have to "Force" this reform through?
Because the republicans are fighting any sort of reform tooth and nail and because while the democrats want healthcare reform, they're too busy in-fighting about the specifics to stand as a unified force. It's not congress vs. america, it's congress vs. other members of congress dummy. The majority of Americans may support it, but that doesn't mean it's going to be the exact same in congress.
In my experiences, the service here, both in Vancouver and in Halifax. Has been satisfactory. I have been served in an orderly and efficent manner for all ranges of medical issues
You're in major cities though. I've also received great service when I've gone, and have never had a problem. But the problems are still out there, elsewhere.
Lol, fail car. Jeff Dunham comes to mind as well. Nightmares about having good fortune? This kid is messed up..
You do realize Kid rock is old right?

Dumbasses with guns is a reciper for disaster as evidence by the monthly school shootings you guys have.

That says a lot about you.
His music sucks but I agree. I personaly think we should all just have a nation wide test about the world, if you fail, you die, unless you prove to be usefull to the community, such as a child, great doctor, scientist, etc...
Yeah, this doesn't make you sound like a massive tool. Also, it's kid rock, any thing he says became invalid the moment he rhymed the word "things" with "things".
I'm doing fine cause My family works their ass off to get to where we are. Ignoring common and absurd "lol step to communism/socialism" comments everyone throws around, the problem isn't hard to see. A lot of them all the self-centered types. If you don't have a problem with it, then nobody has a problem with it. They're unwilling to help others at the cost of their own "hard work". Its selfish and unnecessary, and all it does is drag down the rest of the country. The whole joke goes back on people with opinions such as yourself when Medicare rates continue to rocket as they do and you find yourself unable to pay for it, and wishing it was free.
