You guys haven't lived until you've tried June/July/August in the Middle East. Gets as high as 60c for multiple days in a row. The amount of times I've burnt my hand on the car door and the seat belt buckle is unfathomable.
You don't have to be in the Middle East to burn yourself with metal stuff left on the sun. I have burned myself multiple times too, and I live in Portugal.
Man, hearing about all these 25 degrees plus countries is weird. Us British people going to these places would probably burst into flames.
GLOBAL WARMING! - Everyone last year Meanwhile its the coldest month since 1971 here in Holland...
There's a reason it's called climate change, not global warming. Just because you had cold feet last month doesn't mean the drought in Africa or the higher temperatures around the poles are getting any less significant.
Fahrenheit is such an awkward way of measuring temperature
Its's only awkward because you didn't grow up with it.

i love this heat wave, its nice and sunny here in victoria bc
Just like a normal winter in Portugal or Spain... White walkers are coming!
I opened my window today for the first time since the dawn of time. A wasp promptly flew in and chased me out my kitchen. Fuck summer.

Let the lawnmowing begin!
Whoa, everyone in this thread outside of the UK is saying they get above 25-30C in heatwaves, even as high as 60C. That sounds uncomfortable and dangerous as fuck.
Northern europe gets colder during climate change.
buhhhhhh then why is it called global warming? theory debunked mr. gore, global warming is a myth
We've had the coldest start to the year since records began (I think don't quote me on this), and this is pretty much 15c higher than it has been all year so we're making the most of it
We had like tons of snow just three weeks ago Now we have it pretty warm. I'm generally living in a terretory where we have hot summers and cold winters. Goes from a summer having about 35*C everyday and a winter having about -25*C every day.
35C Erryday here in Indonesia.
Its's only awkward because you didn't grow up with it.
except it is awkward because it uses unnecessarily large numbers and has really arbitrary freezing and boiling points for water (which is arguably the most useful element's boiling/freezing point to use as reference for temperature) and only like 5 countries on the planet use it
hahaha. in here its almost 25c nowadays
I live in the desert; 19c is not hot here. You can all shut the fuck up about where you live now and how hot it is compared to Britain because it's all relative.
God forbid people have a discussion and voice their opinion and all that
Feels alot warmer then 19c around here (Preston). I'm sun bathing revising my physics hey hooo.
Its's only awkward because you didn't grow up with it.
No its awkward because it has no basis in anything logical (much like the imperial system).
Its's only awkward because you didn't grow up with it.
You can say the same of having a cats dick in your throat
Man in England people freak out over the slightest oddities in the weather. First the snow, now the heat aha
It usually sticks between 5c and 15c here all year and when asked about the weather the first most people will tell you is if it's raining or not. Clear skies, strong wind, etc are unusual and a topic of interest :v:
It might only be 19c outside but our well insulated homes meant my bedroom temperature was saying 25c at midnight
Its 21 c here in Denmark and im sweating really bad, i guess im just not used to it being so warm...
Up north, Gaelic-speaking area.
Ah right, Fifes been fine.
It might only be 19c outside but our well insulated homes meant my bedroom temperature was saying 25c at midnight
Pfft 25'c is nothing, my room regularly gets to 27+. Its quite unpleasant. I hate to think what would happen if this house was insulated properly.. But it raises a good point that people overlook when comparing temperatures, pretty much every house in the UK is designed to stay extremely warm; great during the winter, awful during summer.
Freak sea fog ruined it anyway: Doesn't stop the British:
I hate this sort of weather. Being hypersensitive to changes in temperature makes me feel like I'm burning to a crisp. Almost like old school vampires.
It's still cold and wet up here. I feel cheated.
Being scottish I can say with 100% certainty that if I were to go to a country with 30C+ temperatures I would turn into liquid then evaporate instantly. Those kind of temps sound like the most unconfortable thing ever.
