Not sure what happened. If you don't believe in god, you're a fat, fedora wearing neckbeard. And if you criticize the memeshit, it's just another "oh... BE CAREFUL WITH THAT FEDORA, BUD..."
It's a meme that /pol/ pushed really, really hard.
"Euphoric" and *tips fedora* really need to go on the list of memeshit replies. Even if he was an atheist, who fucking cares?
I know, it's a malady.
I cant think of a single time I've heard of the term "hater" being used in a way that's not totally moronic.

I actually really hate the term "hater" because I think it's used only by people ignoring criticism.
In my opinion, I think shutting yourself off from criticism is one of the worst things a person can do. Oh, some person called you an extremist monster? Must be a hater!
looking at the trailer it look's like shit.

Jesus fuck he made 2 million off this. $2 FUCKING MILLION.
Wow this looks bad, like really bad- i did laugh at the bit in the car where the guy with glasses and the bad jumper points out how Christmas was just a Christian re-appropriation of the pagan winter solstice, and the "protagonist's" response is just "nah mate, jesus." with no fucking explanation or reason as to why he feels that way.
Ofc its going to make shitloads of money because it appeals to the weird group of Christians who have a huge persecution complex, and think everything not being done their way means they are being oppressed- but is he really surprised that everyone else is going to say its crap?

I can't remember ever using "hater" unironically. I feel the same way as you about it: that it implies an unwillingness to bear criticism. And frankly if you put anything in the public space expect it to get criticized. Don't want criticism? Keep it to yourself.

Exactly. Personally, I welcome criticism. Even someone telling me my plot/characterization/world building is shit is better than being ignored.

I use it to describe someone who makes hats

Saving Pvt. Christmas?
I don't really get how exactly he's going to "save" Christmas. He put on a Santa suit in a mall (when earlier he complains Jesus was replaced by Santa and commercialism?), so I guess that counts.
I don't even remotely understand what this film is really about after watching that trailer.
According to this movie, Jesus was actually representative of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge eaten by Adam, and his crucifixion was symbolic of the fruit being placed back on the tree since the cross was made from a tree, and so Christmas trees aren't actually a holdover from pagan rites. They're symbolic of Jeeeesus.
So... he's saying that he, as a christian (or at least his brand of christian), has "put the fruit of knowledge back onto the tree".
I almost believe him, because you'd have to be dumb as fuck to not understand that you're saying "I'm denying knowledge and am willingly an idiot!"
Not even the goddamn 'Christian Post' like Kirk Cameron's movie.
From what i heard from people walking out of theatres.
Watch this movie if it's cheap and if you like the room. I had two guys walk out in tears saying that it's right on par with the room and one of the best comedies of the year but not for any reason Kirk Cameron anticipated.
There's a theory that the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden may actually have been a tomato.
Coincidence?

From a review I read (which tore into the movie like a drill), it's entirely about Kirk Cameron trying to convince the guy in the car why things he considers nonchristmas (christmas trees, for example) are actually christmasbased (Christmas tree=Jesus's Cross+Forbidden Fruit). It sounds dumb as fuck but I might just get it in a bargain bin so my friends and I can have a laugh.
I am not an atheist tho, I am an agnostic at the very best.
But Agnosticism and Atheism are different scales, one "measures" belief, the other knowledge.
