Good thing I never eat KFC anyway, that shit's overpriced as fuck. I don't care how many herbs and spices you throw in it, I'm eating Churches. [editline]lol hey layla remember when you tried to fuck up 1week mods progress and instead everyone just pretty much ignored you? that was pretty funny[/editline]
Since when are biscuits sold at KFC? What are they, custard creams?
Since like, forever?
Maybe some of the employees played a joke. Did they order cokes,
moldy ice machines are pretty common in american restaurants afiak, at least the ones i've worked at...
The only time I ever ate at KFC I hated the food and had the shits and vomiting later that day. Never again.
You're British, we get it. [editline]bananas[/editline] It's a joke about biscuits being cookies or whatever over there, people. He literally said it in the post asking if they were custard creams. [editline]bananas2[/editline] Unless you earnestly don't know what an Amarican biscuit is, in which case it's this
I legitimately never knew this. What exactly are those? Do you know the english name for them?
I legitimately never knew this. What exactly are those? Do you know the english name for them?
They're essentially scones, I suppose.
Well surely that's fine then? It's not like everyone who's been to KFC has dropped dead or anything
Kfc is the only fast food that made me genuinely sick for weeks after eating it, and I mean SICK. I've had kebabs and other shit from waaaay scummier looking places and honestly it was better quality. There's just something shitty about Kfc...
It depends on the place really, at the Dunkin' Donuts I worked at the ice bin was scrubbed clean every day or so, and we weren't allowed to leave the scoop in the bin or we'd be yelled at. Also any buckets used to transfer the ice from the machine to the bin had to be sterilized first. Now I'm not going to assume this is the norm, but I'd like to think that most places give a shit about cleanliness.
Isn't it kind of about what kinds of bacteria there are there too? Not to mention that it depends on what state the toilet water is in; I'm pretty certain 'fresh' toilet water is going to be at least marginally cleaner than pre-flush toilet water.
How do you fuck up so bad that your ice water is worse then the thing you put your shit in.
Smog and waste products.
The KFC's here have been dropping like flies. They don't maintain or renovate them when they get old and run down. They just go until they no longer meet health regulations and then shut down. See my above post to read what they are like. The outsides of them have peeling paint, rusted signs and fences, roofing falling apart, and back alleys full of trash. They are fucking dumps. No shit you get sick eating at them. I'm assuming the ones near you are probably no better than the ones here.
That's all part of the rustic southern charm though! "Come to KFC, where the dilapidation comes to roost!"

This article is for a KFC in China. People in China know their water supply is fucked up and usually don't ask for ice in their drinks.
Yea this is just shit from China. The KFC I work at, we bleach everything. Although I'm still fairly knew so I'm not sure how often the icebox is cleaned. I haven't done it yet. Supposedly our owners are going to renovate the place, but it needs a complete overhaul. Better tear it down and start anew.
Some how I imagine McDonalds ice cubes to be something in the 50's times dirtier than toilet water.

Its only really a concern if you have a shit immune system. Children should be drinking nothing but toilet water imo. Or just eat a lot of rainworms like i did. As a result i cant remember the last time i was sick.
KFC over in Australia only sells cans and bottles of drink so ice isn't the issue. They're all still filthy and disgusting like everywhere else in the world, though.
The only problem I have with KFC's in China is that they didn't have seated toilets when I needed them.
fyi sinks are the same way toilets are fairly often cleaned with antibacterial cleaners while sinks and boxes of ice are less so
The ice machines just never get cleaned. The restaurant I work at, the ice machine is the only thing that gets us points docked off on a health inspection. Just all the water in the machine and mold and stuff starts to grow in places. Its just a huge hassle to clean them, so no one ever cleans them.
where do people get the idea that toilet water and/or toilets are dirty? they're actually one of the cleanest parts of your house assuming you take some fucking pride in where you live and clean it with anti-bacterial stuff once in a while.
Wait a sec, they sell scones in american KFCs? I've never seen that on the menu over here.
Yes, buttermilk biscuits are a part of American Southern cuisine.
Ice cubes at KFC restaurants in China
A lot of fast food restaurants don't follow health code on ice makers. A lot of them leave them open and leave the ice scoop in. These are both violations of health code in the US.

Hah, the McDonald's I worked at when I was 14 was way worse than this. Disgusting place really. The flies alone...
