(Bones made Soul Eater, the only good "HURR DURR I POWER UP" series, and they also made a badass samurai movie called Sword of the Stranger. Production I.G. made Ghost in the Shell, FLCL, Dead Leaves, the Origin of O-Ren segment from Kill Bill Vol. 1, Reideen, and The End of Evangelion. Studio 4C makes a bunch of random experimental shit with awesome art.
Appleseed and Ex Machina are based on a manga that seems to have inspired Halo quite a lot. Briareos is pretty much Master Chief.)

And Lankist, it's generally the women that have gigantic eyes in anime. Even in DBZ and whatnot, most of the male characters had relatively normal eyes. Most Halo characters are male, so you don't have much to worry about.

It really depends on what you're watching.
Berserk - one character who is made fun of by everyone else for it.
Hellsing - nonexistent... well, there's Integra, but she's a chick who acts like a man, not vice-versa.
Gurren Lagann - nonexistent.
Getter Robo - ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NONEXISTENT.
Mazinger Z - generally nonexistent, although there's one villain who's a hermaphrodite... split down the middle between a male half and a female half, no less.
Black Lagoon - two minor prepubescent characters, played for high-octane nightmare fuel.
Super Dimension Fortress Macross - nonexistent.
Macross Plus - nonexistent.
Mobile Suit Gundam (a.k.a. 0079 or First Gundam) - nonexistent... Garma Zabi is a pretty-boy, but not to the point of resembling a chick
Gunbuster - the sole male character in the series is a paragon of manliness.
Azumanga Daioh - see Gunbuster.
Lucky Star - see Gunbuster and Azumanga.
Suzumiya Haruhi - you must hang out with some really fugly chicks if you think Kyon and Itsuki look like women

I love the difference of opinions between page 1 and page 3.
I don't think it'll get much worse. Lets face it guys, the halo series isn't all that fantastic as it is, not like they are going to ruin anything great.
