We don't want a Spore franchise with tons of spinoffs and shit, we want the Spore of 2005.
I can't agree more. They are being so fucking retarded with this. They have something that has the potential (or like some one said earlier, had the potential) to be great, but they're pissing it all away. I mean seriously, what the shit are they thinking? Almost everyone wants the slightly darker, grittier and over all cooler Spore that we saw all those years ago. The Spore that we all fell instantly in love with. But no no no, giving the people what they want would be a terrible idea apparently :downs:
I think I'm the only one that liked Spore. :smith:
I mean, sure, it could've been better than what it became, but I still had fun with it.
EA really needs to have less faith in Maxis. They may be able to get a ton of money from The Sims franchise, but they haven't been able to make anything else halfway decent since SimCity 4 (and even that showed warning signs of what was to come.)
They should just make a Spore Space Stage game with a growing interactive universe.
Personally, I would buy an RTS based on the civ stage, more fleshed out, more choices/variety with vehicle designs and with multiplayer.
I can already tell this game is going to boring, i'm bored just watching it.
