Valve are pretty mucht the only developer who bash the PS3 because it is difficult to code for, yet the other vast majority of developers have just acknowledged this and just got on with, and produced some great for all platforms, without the silly whining.
Dont get me wrong, I think Valve are awesome, I just thought their company stance on the PS3 is a bit naive.

Valve develop for PC, and they outsourced console development to EA. Bash EA for the shoddy console versions, not Valve. They simply don't have the resources to develop for consoles directly.
Valve can do whatever they want. If the PS3 is hard to code for, well then they don't have to port to it. They aren't a huge company, anyways. At least not the last I checked.

Multiplatform games tend to sell more on the Xbox 360 than PS3 anyways, so I guess they're just not gonna bother developing for it. Its all about the money, unfortunately.

Isn't this a video game thing? Anyway, PS3 is fucking amazing. I love it. I also love my 360 and PC so yeah I have tried them all.
Maybe Gabe should start calling out studios that do shit work on the PC...
I think Gearbox should learn from Valve and give the PC what it deserves - Borderlands was sure-for-shit a port, and it's disappointing, especially since Pitchford said it would actually be optimized for PC, and the menus designed for the mouse and all. But it's like Dead Space in terms of menu navigation, jesus. I know it just came out, but I've already clocked 60+ hours into it, and unless a patch comes out that really sets forth some actual optimization I'm going to just call Gearbox a bunch of hypocrites. Why don't you guys go back to your TRUE platform, the PC? Cause, you know, it's not like you learned the ropes from Valve or anything.
