Anti-Trump demonstrators set fires, break windows in California

Rioting is pointless. If they're that upset they should be organizing an insurrection. There's pretty much no way to stop a large enough tide of people if they act quickly enough.
You're going to be totally wrong. The positions the man ran on alone and the rhetoric that he whipped his followers up with proves it, not to mention his background and Pence's background. And the problem with this kind of mentality is that it asks us to disarm to be passive when we need to be more vigilant and prepared than ever. "Wait and see" is an extremely dangerous mindset when you're faced with these kinds of people who are openly bigoted and don't actually have any concrete plans about how they're going to run the country.
And Clinton won the popular vote; Trump was not "democratically elected". This is the exact same bullshit that happened between Gore and Bush in 2000. It's actually happened multiple times in our country's history where the electoral college has handed the election over to some other candidate entirely.
You can ignore all this as much as you want, it doesn't change anything or mean anything. What will be, will be. If there's anything to be learned from 2016, especially as far as Brexit and now our election go, it's that literally anything can happen and it pays to be extremely cynical and pessimistic about future outcomes when there's so much at stake. "Wait and see" is not an intelligent mentality when you're faced with shitty prospects; preparedness is.
If you were "prepared" and in any way realistic about the shit you are dribbling you wouldve prepared for the very real possibility of trump winning and wouldn't be on this forum demanding that people have to start organizing for a civil war.
You're not going to do shit. Pure posturing. Anyone who was serious about an insurgency would not be talking about it on a fucking video game forum, get real. Enjoy the LARPing I guess.
in an alternate universe Clinton wins, Trump supporters do the same shit and you post a post calling them redneck retards
Because Clinton isn't an extremist bigot, she's just corrupt. You can say "it's all about perspective!!!" all you want but one candidate is clearly worse than the other.
What they should be burning is Florida.
What good will that do? It will be submerged in water from Trump's ignorance of global warming.
YOU ARE NOT RUSSIA
Not yet anyway.
Many of them probably didn't even vote.
Hell I reckon that's how Trump managed to win. A lot of the Clinton supporters probably saw how Clinton was smashing Trump in poll after poll, so they figured 'why should I bother wait in line to vote for Clinton if she's going to win anyways' - and there we have a repeat of the same mistake that millenials made in the Brexit.
Actually it's the electoral college being bullshit. Clinton got the popular vote.
California is deep blue. 62% of us voted for clinton.
Ah understood, I thought you were saying for the entire US. I need to read.

"Just Corrupt" lol.
"Just Corrupt" lol.
both sides were hated in this election
Hitlary didnt lose because the public were against the democrats
They just hated her more than Trump
Good. We need our voices to be heard. I hope more riots continue tonight.

What fucking good are anti-Trump riots going to do in California.
Good. We need our voices to be heard.
Yes, of course.
I hope more riots continue tonight.
No, taking out your anger on an unrelated-person's property isn't going to do anything but create a big-ass political divide and give people less reason to listen to what you have to say. Makes even less sense to do that in a blue state since a majority of locals are already agreeing with your position.
You know, fuck it. Trying to appeal to reason is useless when everyone is so entrenched in their delusion.
I swear this drama happens every election. Remember when Obama was elected?
"GOD WILL NOT ALLOW A BLACK PRESIDENT", "All whites and gays will be deported", etc etc
And now this.
You wanna burn your own country just because something might and most likely WILL NOT happen?
Fine by me, I've got popcorn ready. Go full retard, I've had a hard week, need a good laugh.

I want to overthrow the entire government and replace it with a rigid technocracy based on rapidly moving forward.

My thoughts exactly. At this rate, they can't afford to be this naïve anymore, and pretend that going full scorched earth (which btw, will only affect other civilians) will revert the results.
None of this will make things any better... but by all means, go ahead and fuck shit up, disgruntled Americans. You're only pissing each other off even more and proving Trump supporters's point.
Good. We need our voices to be heard. I hope more riots continue tonight.
California is a blue state that voted overwhelmingly blue
Your voices will be heard better if you peacefully protest and work to prevent a situation like this from happening again
I understand the anger but I don't condone the acts of violence.
Upsetting that it has to come to this and honestly I'm afraid it's not really gonna slow down any time soon.
Good. We need our voices to be heard. I hope more riots continue tonight.
What is wrong with you.
Would you like it if a crowd of angry college students came and burnt down a business owned by someone in your family all in the name of social righteousness?
Learn to protest you crybaby.
Take a step back and imagine a Trump supporter saying this if Hillary won
uhm it'd still be a totally normal run of the mill statement, what's your point?
We can debate about the "right" and "wrong" of this shit til the cows come home, people. But at the end of the day, these rioters are a symptom of a bigger, worse disease. And yeah, it's horrible that people are commiting crimes, damaging property and hurting other people. That's always horrible.
But here's the thing: If the core of the problem (I.E: This absolute shitshow of an election and the results thereof) isn't addressed - and soon - then a couple of broken windows and burning effigies might be the least of our worries.
Riots are bad, but you know what's worse? Mass shootings. Attempted (or even successful) murder. Revolutionary terrorism and/or all-out fucking civil war, just to name a few.
I remember the Bush vs Al Gore election, and the Obama vs Romney election, too. People got angry, insults were flung... But this is different. From my memory, nobody started literally rioting mere hours after either of those elections, and the fact that people are now is something we shouldn't ignore.
If you quell the rioters but don't deal with the things they're rioting about, then all that will happen is more rioters.

Exactly this. This Election is the worst Modern America has ever seen.
Many of us are tired being silenced and hushed by Baby Boomers and having no voice. This election is not about the common American. It is a unfair system that only works for the politicians and lobbyists. I work everyday, 40 hours a week, I don't make enough to live on my own. I should have a voice. I feel like I dont.
Riots are non avoidable for government reform. Its sad we have to resort to it but there is no other way.
I got who I voted for. :x
you made a really asshole decision
feels before reals obliterated all of Obama's progress with LGBT rights in a single fucking day.
you made a really asshole decision

Trump supporters don't care about LGBT rights.
Just wait until the hardship of the working poor and middle class inevitably increases under a Trump presidency.
What fucking good are anti-Trump riots going to do in California.
My guess is that the rioters are savvy enough on one hand to riot in the state where they are the least likely to get shot by someone thanks to California's strict gun laws.
They wouldn't pull this shit in let's say, ultra-red Oklahoma.
They won't care because the gays, muslims, and mexicans got what they deserved, ultimately
This is what we get for threatening the "traditional values of america" i guess
Well if those are the values that a majority of my country thinks need to be protected and that define our nation then fuck me for not thinking all too highly of it
If you were "prepared" and in any way realistic about the shit you are dribbling you wouldve prepared for the very real possibility of trump winning and wouldn't be on this forum demanding that people have to start organizing for a civil war.

As I've said before, you don't know shit. Certainly not about me.
The point of discussing this issue is to keep it fresh in everybody's minds. That's the first step in fighting against intolerance. The Internet is one of the best ways to do that, whether we're talking some random forum like this, YouTube, Facebook, etc. I was already prepared for this outcome; I talked about the possibility of Trump winning and what that would mean for the country months ago, both here and elsewhere. I don't think it's going to devolve into an insurgency or civil war, and I would actually prefer if it didn't. But whatever happens, happens.
I'm nothing special and never claimed to be. You don't have to worry about me. It's the tens of millions of other Americans out there right now who are furious over this result and who absolutely hate this man (also Pence) and everything he stands for (with more than enough good reasons) that you should be worried about. What's going to happen with them? What will they decide to do, collectively and as individuals? I don't know. We'll find out, won't we?
Good. A revolt is needed. This election has been utter shit and it ended even worse.
This election is already a revolt against the establishment. Because the left refused to yield, and decided to pay a game of chicken with a deranged freight train, they lost everything.
If you want this to change, you better start fixing your side of the fence, because this is what's going to happen in Europe too.
They won't care because the gays, muslims, and mexicans got what they deserved, ultimately
They'll still blame Obama, Clinton and Sanders
As I've said before, you don't know shit. Certainly not about me.

The left needs to get its shit together and prepare to be a competent oposition to Trump's dumber policies for the next four years, and in the meanwhile fix its corruption and authoritarian ideology so that they regain the trust of the working class that put Trump into power. Trump winning is the left's fault.
Good. A revolt is needed. This election has been utter shit and it ended even worse.
The country spoke and said they wanted trump. He won and also got popular vote. So deal with it. Everyone was saying that trump supporters would have been up in arms and now look how the tables have turned.
Wait till he takes office and see what the government does. Trump could have a total change of heart in how things will be handled based on all the information he has access too now.
