so is the planet earth a gold digger
I would imagine this short of bombardment is a fairly common occurrence so early in the formation of the solar system.
mabe. but it means there are some planets without metal. thus it lowers the chances
mabe. but it means there are some planets without metal. thus it lowers the chances
But what if theres technology without metal? Anything is possible in this universe
But what if theres technology without metal? Anything is possible in this universe
would you please read? i said it LOWERS the CHANCES
Meteors of gold? Screw that! There are friggin' planetoids with pure diamond cores out there!
Earth is a god damn gold magnet!
Presumably some aliens saw it and managed to follow it, arriving here to extract it a century and a half ago.
That must have been one totally pimpin' meteor
Does anyone else think that it would be really sad if mankind never managed to get to space and colonize other planets and mine minerals from space because back in time we had no 'money' and we couldn't afford it? I know money is really important, but there are things like this where it'd be nice if everyone would think on the future and work for the good of mankind, instead of being dicks to each other and only caring about money like greedy fucks, dooming us all.
LOL RIGHT and i bet humans came from divine intervention
So how did the gold form on/in the meteors? They neatly sidestep explaining that bit.
I thought this was widely known.
I found out about this on neogeo [editline]9th September 2011[/editline]
I thought this was widely known.
I concur.
I came in here expecting at least one reference to an austin powers movie.
So how did the gold form on/in the meteors? They neatly sidestep explaining that bit.
space jews did it
So how did the gold form on/in the meteors? Which would you prefer? A powerful energy source that can last forever or An infinite supply of Useless gold. Remember, the reason why gold is so valuable is because it's rare. If gold is as common as Iron and Aluminum, it would be worthless.
I'm very curious as to what you see in my avatar, because I see a toaster, a piece of toast, and some circles, as well as the word "Metallocrustomachinaism". I know what it represents though, and I've always wondered what other people see it as.
-late, snip, etc-

the ancient aliens came to earth to mine this gold but lacked the manpower so they made humans. Ancient Aliens and the ancient astronaut theory all make sense now.
I don't understand why every single FP member is obsessed with "colonizing planets and mining asteroids".
So how did the gold form on/in the meteors? They neatly sidestep explaining that bit.
In huge neutron stars/super novae and red dwarfs
I don't understand why every single FP member is obsessed with "colonizing planets and mining asteroids".
If you haven't noticed, we've been fucking up this planet pretty bad lately(The last 200 years or so), we're like parasites, we need a new host when this one dies.

We're gonna be stuck recycling gold if we can't get more of it. And it doesn't help that people want to buy useless gold jewelry that has no useful function, further lowering the amount of gold that could be used in electronics.
If you haven't noticed, we've been fucking up this planet pretty bad lately(The last 200 years or so), we're like parasites, we need a new host when this one dies.
Ah, one of the idiot anti-humanists who wish they were sexy enviro-friendly foxes or 9 foot tall blue people with 0% body fat.
I don't understand why every single FP member is obsessed with "colonizing planets and mining asteroids".
Because science.
Ah, one of the idiot anti-humanists who wish they were sexy enviro-friendly foxes or 9 foot tall blue people with 0% body fat.
He's right, sooner or later resources on this planet will run out. I don't see us as "parasites", but some day we may NEED to look elsewhere than earth.
