I don't know if this year's sale is just really mediocre, or it's because any good sales have been for things I've already owned.
Yeah, my library has pretty much every game I really care to play. The last several Steam sales have been kind of meh for me. There just don't seem to be a lot of worthwhile games released on PC in a given year.
jesus christ, super meat boy is at literally 95% off that's a lot also if you didn't vote for hot pursuit as the next community's choice i'd like to have a word with you
really hope Arma 3 goes on better than 35% sale.
I don't know if this year's sale is just really mediocre, or it's because any good sales have been for things I've already owned.
Every year people say the sale is worse than usual, this year is the only one where I can agree. There aren't as many sales because we only get new deals every day, or every 12 hours for flash sales, where in previous years we got 3 new deals a day for both the flash sales and the community choice.

Is Planetary Annihilation really as bad as everybody is saying?
Can anyone explain to me why whenever the LEGO games are sale, Star Wars is excluded?
I really want King Arthur's gold to go on sale for more. I really want to try it, but I only have $10 for the entire sale for my self and $20 for gifts. I've found that setting my self to spend so little money really helps me pick wisely.
My mom gave me a $20 Steam card but there's literally nothing I want to buy.
Is Planetary Annihilation really as bad as everybody is saying?
I don't think I would pay full price for it but with a good lobby of people it can be pretty intense. As a game itself its pretty fun but the devs are kind of sketchy. Admittedly they did do an update not to long ago.
Is Planetary Annihilation really as bad as everybody is saying?
The game is a shadow of what it's promised to be. The multi-planet mechanic is a complete gimmick that will only stress you out and frustrate you as you're unable to pay attention to everything that's happening. A ton of players have already stopped playing. Uber failed to fund their next game on kickstarter because of PA players calling them out on not finishing the game even after it was released. It's a badly balanced RTS that is severely lacking in depth compared to supreme commander. I wouldn't recccomend it at all.
Is South Park: The Stick of Truth worth it for $13.60?
Got a £20 voucher and bought Dishonored, Metal Gear Rising, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. Very happy. Came to about £19.98
Is South Park: The Stick of Truth worth it for $13.60?
Very much so if you're a fan of South Park at all.
If you don't own it already, vote for Dust: An Elysian Tail in the Community Choice polls so you can get it at a cheap-as-chips price tomorrow. Or just buy it anyways 'cause it's cool.
My mom gave me a $20 Steam card but there's literally nothing I want to buy.
You think that's bad? I've been buying all this shit for my significant other, a few friends, etc. There really hasn't been anything I wanted. I forgot that I had told relatives "there's not much I want for Christmas, you can get me a Steam giftcard or something." Welp.
This is the first steam sale since the trading card sales era that I consider good. Working full time through the previous sales would cause me to miss many deals and miss one of the vote things. Yeah I hope all sales use this time layout from now on. It's much better
save it till next year / another sale I got 500$ and have nothing to buy, therefore I'm waiting till the oculus rift is out to buy that
I found some shit I want, but I'll probably stash $30-50 of it in case some AAA game comes out/Killing Floor 2 actually lets me fucking pre-order already. If the OR let me buy it through Steam I wouldn't be touching this money.
Is Planetary Annihilation really as bad as everybody is saying?
Yes. I backed the project because I like RTS games and they had a hand in building supreme commander which is one of my all time favorite games. 2.2M isn't a huge amount of money by any means for game development but I really feel like 2.2M dollars could have funded more then what they put into PA. I will not be backing future projects for Uber. Further, the game crashes on me constantly and lacks any kind of depth. It's just plain -boring- to play..
Took the opportunity to buy Rocksmith 2014. Finally got the cable in and popped my G-string. I already knew how to play guitar, but I always wanted to try it. Fun and addicting, but I have 3 more packs of strings on the way...

So after the gift exchange with my other half and splurging a chunk of my gift cards, I wound up with: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/GYSEd2.png[/t] It was a good day, and I still have lots left over for the remaining sales. :v:
This is essentially a cross-post from the Space Engineers thread, but do you guys anticipate Space Engineers getting a deeper discount during the sale or do you guys think it'll pretty much stick where it is now?
This is essentially a cross-post from the Space Engineers thread, but do you guys anticipate Space Engineers getting a deeper discount during the sale or do you guys think it'll pretty much stick where it is now?
As with anything over $10, wait for a daily/flash sale unless you're impatient or want to use a gift card. It's usually extremely hard to predict if something will or won't go on sale unless, like the Talos Prophecy, the developers up and say.
Is Far Cry 4 worth it for 20% off? It doesn't really seem so.

Was RE4 already at 50% off before today?
Shiet I paid twice through Paypal and I haven't gotten a confirmation mail or the game.
Shiet I paid twice through Paypal and I haven't gotten a confirmation mail or the game.
A couple weeks ago Steam charged me $17 after a failed transaction and didn't get any games. I had to wait for my bank to clear the pending charges.
