I thought Lövfen might do okay at first but it's gradually becoming apparent that he's just a huge fucking liar. And with practically no opposition, voting is basically pointless in the next election since this agreement stretches over two mandates. Fuck this shit. [I]Inte min statsminister.[/I]

Swedish politics. What a clusterfuck. In 4 years I'll be able to vote for the first time, but I have no idea if I'm gonna do it. Seems like you get actively harassed, threatened with death and shat on no matter what you vote for these days, and the politicians don't seem to be able to keep their promises very well. It's sad that SD are making progress, but I guess it was inevitable when all other parties outright shunned them even though they were democratically elected.

I heard on P3 that SD will get little to no power because of this move that the big partys has done, sure they will need to cooperate on things they don't want but it's better than SD having power, aye?

Having a completly one sided political climate is much worse than having a party that wants to cut down immigration a bit.

See this kind of shit is what made people vote for the racists in the first place. During the elections the politicians were going for the indecisive voters, and failed to make their ideology come through in the process. People felt that this didn't really represent them, and as such, many political parties, mainly the Moderates, lost a fuck ton of voters to SD. The solution to this? Make the people feel even more unrepresented! How fucking shortsighted is this? Don't be deterred by debate though, it's not quite as bad as you're suggesting - but yes, your choices can be questioned.

Their only really disagreeable policies are about abortion which they want to regulate a bit more.

If you really want to go short, SD is pretty much the equivalent of the american Republic party.

Which makes 3 reasons I never want them to have any kind of influence on these topics.
