You know, if you read the whole thread you'd actually see that the four posts quoted were just examples of the entire thread being biased against the victims of the crime. Also being banned for being a shitposter has nothing to do with whether or not a thread showed a racist bias.
First off, there is no racial bias present in that thread. If you read the posts, you'd understand these were knee jerk posts based limited information given by the media. And if you read them carefully enough, they were posts lambasting violent protest. I find it completely disingenuous and hypocritical for Aldawolf to blast users based on their reaction given the information present at the time despite doing the very same thing to gamergate. The bias really shows when you see defense of BLM despite negative media coverage, yet negative media coverage from the same news source affirms the belief it's a misogynistic organization.
People on this forum were partially excusing the Dallas police shooter a while back, saying things like "It's just backlash! What do you expect when cops are killing innocent black men? They deserved it!" To liberals it always seems like the black/brown person who acts out is blowback, while the white guy is always held accountable. In this case, it seems like the guy went out into the protest to deliberately provoke an attack on himself. He was probably physically attacked by the BLM protestors and then he shot at them. This would normally be self defense I think, but with the text message evidence it seems premeditated and I think it no longer falls under self defense. Justice was done. I hope we see the same standards of justice applied when a black/brown man acts out next time instead of excusing it as "blowback".
yeah, why don't we think about these unfairly prosecuted white men for once? they're the ones who really need help I think it's very telling about you personally when your response to this story is to immediately deflect to something unrelated, and then have the nerve to say that black people GET OFF EASIER than whites, which is to completely ignore the entire reason these protests happen. If a black man shot 5 people he'd be on fucking death row right now lol, and definitely not being charged with assault.
If a black man shot 5 people he'd be on fucking death row right now lol, and definitely not being charged with assault.
Mhm, sure sure. See, if he had KILLED people during the SELF DEFENSE (after being a provocative asshat, though) based shooting then maybe he'd get worse than assault. There's no difference in this situation if he would be black or white.
Good, we don't need racists in Minnesota.
. If a black man shot 5 people he'd be on fucking death row right now lol, and definitely not being charged with assault.
You don't know what you're talking about. Assault is the only appropriate charge here
Whether or not property damage counts as violence is really a difference in principles. If you're so indoctrinated as to believe that property is as important as people's lives and liberty, then you'll take it as a basic value that property destruction is violence. On the other hand, if your values involve genuinely caring about other human beings, and the state of human society, then the fate of glass windows owned by a corporation holding hundreds of millions of dollars in cash reserves is probably the last thing on your mind when people take to the streets.
