As bad as the government is about to fuck over married people on their taxes, I don't see why anyone would want to get married. Though I 100% agree with and support gay marriage.
Ever heard of love?
Ever heard of love?
Don't need to be married to be in love. Not saying I disagree with marriage, I just don't ever picture myself wanting to be married unless it was solely for benefits. Which, as more time passes, the less those seem like benefits and the more they seem seem like a handicap.

I would support your right to that opinion. I fully agree with "don't have to be married to be in love". I'm also replying to your post before this one.
I hope there's a film of this on YouTube. "As soon as they find the gay gene, you know who's getting aborted" would make a great hook for an Ann Coulter autotune remix
Why don't we destroy the church, create a world government, and then invent FTL travel? Oh nope, we can't do that, some stupid fucking lady is still busy arguing against gay rights. Oh okay.

She's a sorry excuse for a human being, but all she'd really done is stir up the hive more.
I don't like commitment. :P
You're a pretty shitty person then
You're a pretty shitty person then
Why does not wanting to be with 1 person for life, make me a shitty person? Are you a holy roller or something?
You've never experienced love have you?
Once we find the Ann Coulter gene, we know who's getting aborted.
In all honesty I can not identify why the gay community cares about marriage rights. Maybe I'd be more empathetic if I were in their shoes, but as a straight, white, male I really don't see a reason. They want the same rights? Well guess what, the benefits of marriage are instated to create incentive to the development of children because government in general cares about the next generation. Personally, unless I decide to have children I do not see a reason to get married. Why are people so fanatical about a subject based solely on religious practice and tax right offs for family development if they don't fall into either category? I'm not saying that homosexuals can't raise children properly. I'm merely stating that it's really not that big of deal and they should just focus on living a happy and complete life. Lack of martial right does not equal prosecution. Maybe they are so focused on their prosecution complex because society has treated them as different, that they forget to look deeply into the institution of marriage itself. I think that if they did they would realize that it's really not that big of a deal.
not being able to see your husband or wife in a hospital somehow ties to childeren?

I think that if they did they would realize that it's really not that big of a deal.
Marriage is not about child birth. That's idiotic. Do you know how many marriages don't produce children? There's so much in marriage law that really doesn't have to do with children, there's a lot of it that really only gives rights to the spouses for the spouses, not for the kids. [editline]12:31PM[/editline] So why can't gays get married? They deserve those rights, and gays are probably better parents if they decide to have a kid, they really have to fight for that kid, so it shows you how determined they are to be good parents. And if you say anything at all about "teaching the children to be gay" it basically renders you a homophobe. So even your basic premise of child rearing isn't even right on another level.
They want the same rights? Well guess what, the benefits of marriage are instated to create incentive to the development of children because government in general cares about the next generation.
Marriage is has nothing to do with reproduction.
You've never experienced love have you?
As he said you don't need to get married if you are in love, the only reason people do it is because its tradition and basically been bred into us over thousands of generations. If they're being denied rights, which regardless if they should care about it or not, because of their sexual orientation, I'm pretty sure it's persecution.

Why do gays want to get married so bad? They have an alternative with the same benefits don't they? Does it really matter that much to them whether they get a little ceremony called "marriage"? I'm all for rights, but god damn why does it matter so much
Why do gays want to get married so bad? They have an alternative with the same benefits don't they?
Nope, not in all states. Also, separate but equal was found unconstitutional in 1954.

If they give straights one thing, and gays another, the government is in effect distinguishing that they are different. That one bond is different from the other.
Coulter isn't even human. She's a conservative android.
