There are an enormous amount of things wrong with WoW right now but pandas are such a none issue it's not even funny.
I mean this is a game that has had gnomes since launch.
Gnomes that can tank dragons.
I find a lot of things from Warcraft (and Starcraft for that matter) really irritating and obnoxious.

I mean Jesus Christ, how could anybody like this?
"Wait guys! Come back! Free stuff!"
Just like Rift and ToR were supposed to be?
I don't think GW2 will kill WoW. I don't think that's the purpose of the game.
I think instead of being a WoW killer, it will be an alternative MMORPG to the standard model.
For example, some people who dislike the standard model, such as myself, may find enjoyment in GW2. And some people may hate GW2 but find comfort playing MMOs like WoW. And of course there will be the people who enjoy both or neither.
I like stawars.
Whats the point in boosting your level? Isn't leveling up part of the fun of the game?
You must have not played the game.

Yes but if you're a new player you have to fork out:
Vanilla & BC - £7.99
WotLK - £12.99
Cataclysm - £17.99
Just to play Cataclysm unless your eligible for the offer :(
Couldn't this just be exploited? As in. Use Get level 80. Wait 90 days. Repeat.
Couldn't this just be exploited? As in. Use Get level 80. Wait 90 days. Repeat.
Sure. But 90 days is a lot.
I loved early leveling in WoW from 1-40 its fast and rewarding as you get new skills all the time. 40-58 is okay too but from 58-85 its just horrible boring useless shit..

If you find things in a video game you don't play obnoxious and irritating your priorities are in the wrong place.
I have fond memories of vanilla, I wish Blizzard would just let it die with dignity.

They don't look like that since Cataclysm, by the way.
Current models:

Anyways, this whole promotion screws me over since when I quit, I was at level 83.
Cataclysm was fun for me at first (I started off in Vashj'ir, it was cool.) but when I went to that cave world things got boring REALLY fast.

It's sitting at 10.8 million active subscribers. Why would they let it die?

I don't think the actual number is anywhere near that, is it? Otherwise I don't see the reason for their ridiculous promotions they've had going on recently
Just like Rift and ToR were supposed to be?
We shall find out kind sir, but if you've followed the videos & information streams you should know this is not really a thát generic MMORPG.

Yes, it actually is 10.8 million, or thereabouts. Those are active subscriptions.
I don't know why they are doing promotions.

That's what the TOR folks said.
GW2 will be a great game but no WoW killer.

You can activate your account, create a new level one and have it levelled to 80 for you.
They're doing the promotions to take business away from other games.
Just like Rift and ToR were supposed to be?
The problem with Rift and ToR was that they just stuck to the same formula of gameplay as WoW. And with WoW having more time to develop, people still stuck with it.
Guild Wars 2 however is a bit different in the fact that it is actually trying to be original and do its own thing. I don't think it will topple WoW but I think it will be more outstanding than Rift and ToR.
Was Vindictus a good MMO? I never tried it, but I heard it was good.
I remember when WoW actually was challenging. Getting to lvl 60 took a long time.
Now you can get to 80 in what, 2-3 days?
I remember when WoW actually was challenging. Getting to lvl 60 took a long time.

Challenging? No. What was challenging was getting 40 people together for raids.
Taking 6 months to get to level 60 was boring and frustrating.

Yes, I meant raids and stuff as well. Getting certain types of gear could take forever, beating someone like Ragnaross could take forever, and a lot of other stuff.
Now they just throw everything at you and make it a cakewalk.
If this interests anyone reading, shoot me a PM with your info and I will send you a scroll.

Using a guide I got to 85 in about a day and a half.
Then quit a week or so later because I realized that WoW is boring as hell.

It only works on accounts inactive before March 4th, and only works on ONE character.
(Stop saying it is dying. We won't know for sure until they release a quarterly report of active subscribers.)

Everything in Rift & ToR was the same everything just different looks.

Couldn't agree more.
I have to be honest. I have never really played the game, but it seems nice if you're into it.
But one thing that always catches the eye is the expasions it has. Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm... All of them look fucking awesome and badass.
Then, we get pandas... What the fuck is all I can say to that...
They must be desperate to bring people to the game, which is weird, I thought it was still going strong.
But, it seems they ran out of ideas...

Btw, is GW and its expansions and GW2 p2p or just "buy once and then f2p" like any other game with online mode?
I think their getting desperate.
