Why does the left always say that if there is even the slightest hint of disagreement with Obama, it's racist? Who is really the racists? I'd argue to say it is the ones that make everything about race.
And also, class warfare has been going on for ages, and Obama has done nothing to limit it. He's used it quite often as reasoning to pass laws.
You're not exactly answering the question.
Brilliant. It's probably because mr obama is not discrete about how his feeling towards us british... If he wanted to be well received with us he should try not to speak ill of us at every opportunity.
Good why should they be invited.
They can come only if they give the royals/dukes of England their American lands back.

So, like any BNP member?

that's not "a slight bit of disagreement", that's a vitriolic attack. He's calling Obama "low class" despite him being a well-off Harvard educated man. What other reason than racism or classism (against Obama's poor upbringing) could the author have to call the president "low class"?
I don't call racism when I see "the slightest hint of disagreement" (I disagree with a hell of a lot of Obama's policies), I call racism when I see actual racism, which, surprise, didn't completely disappear in the 60's!

Someone paying your way through a high end school does not automatically give you class. And when our President visits our closest ally, and gives their leader an iPod with his speeches on it, and gives the children American-formatted DVDs, it shows an astounding lack of thought and character. Did he have Air Force 1 land at WalMart on the way over there, or what? THAT determines how classy a person is...

Coming from a guy that makes threads called let's feel sorry for the US day on Sep 11th, you have no right to talk.

I won't even begin to point out the hypocrisy and stupidity here.
You should have already been hit in the face with it the second you started typing
What's the big deal? I thought the king was just the guy in chance of their Department of Public Hand Waving? Doesn't sound that important to me.

Alright so you aren't talking about obama then.

ya know, I thought what decided class was more something along the lines of "character" and "integrity", rather than silly little gifts given.
the article you linked isn't journalism, it's a poorly-written, trashy gossip piece, just like every tabloid on supermarket shelves obsessing over the last crazy thing some celebrity like paris hilton did
If you want to criticize the president, that's a good thing. The president should be criticized. But criticize him based on real, important things like his policies and initiatives, not the dumb crap in this article like how his wife is less "ladylike" than Laura Bush. That's not politics, that's grade-school name calling. Get real.
Can you imagine how hard it is to get a gift for the royal family anyway?

The fact that she doesn't bother to adhere to the customs of another country and being disrespectful is kind of a big deal.
I read somewhere that the royal family actually liked the Obama family for their down to earth style.
ridge if you find a real article for this i'll be shocked
but seriously

Unless, of course, he's bowing in Japan. :downs:

it's not "not bothering to adhere to the customs of another country". She didn't disregard every custom they had, she was the single mistake of touching the Queen.
[editline]17th January 2011[/editline]
I mean, this is ludicrous. If the Obamas don't adhere to the customs of other countries, they get criticized, but if they do adhere to other countries' customs (bowing in Saudi Arabia), they get criticized even more.

There has been no bloody strikes or rioting in the United States, so I have no idea where this 'class warfare' is coming from.
Even if he was invited I doubt he would come, he doesnt like us Brits very much.
i mean i don't even know why this thread hasn't been closed, the forum rules say that you can't post opinion pieces
