Anti-vaxxers seem the same as people who look up illnesses online.
They're self-ill-informed, if you will.
(WebMD does not make you a doctor.)
Do you have a medical degree of any sort? If yes, you're probably not anti-vaccination. If no, please shut your god damn mouth and listen to the people who are actually educated.
People who know jack shit about medicine and THINK they know what it does are the people who piss me off the most. Ask an anti-vaxxer how vaccinations are synthesized and they'll probably ask you to explain the term "synthesize" to them.
My apologies if this comes off as rude, but honestly. Those kind of people are just plain ignorant.
I typed the symptons of measles into web md and it says I might have internet connectivity problems.
Sure there's 59 people with measles but there's like a million kids with autism.
Checkmate Vaxxers.

The issue with anti-vaccers or really any sort of conspiracy nut is that they've basically gotten themselves into a self-perpetuating feedback loop. They've completely closed their minds to the possibility of being wrong so anything that argues against them is biased, blatant misinformation, or ignorance. And anything, no matter how small, that even remotely backs up their viewpoint is lauded as gospel of what they're arguing. That's how people like my mom can justify saying vaccines are bad when they result in 60 deaths a year while blatantly ignoring the fact that they prevented thousands or tens of thousands in the same time span. It's something similar to the echo chamber phenomenon that people have described around Google searches and such except this one requires the individual to purposefully ignore other things instead.

Alabama's almost as bad as Mississippi.

That 'if google was a guy' joke was quite accurate, give people two billion articles supporting one side of an argument, and one supporting the other, and they're going to consider their own side of the argument vindicated no matter which side it is.
I used to be absolutely fucking terrified of needles as a kid, then I got my BCG. After which everything felt like a pinprick.
It was also how I found out that the stubbs needle gauge was an inverse scale.
Why the fuck isn't vaccination mandatory if you don't have a medical reason to NOT be vaccinated?
Because if I've learnt but one thing in this world, it is that you can't argue with stupid.
honestly at this point i think disney should just have a policy to require a proof of immunization when purchasing a child ticket or something like that.
it'd be difficult but it'd be better then people getting measles
Disney could probably add a line saying something like "By purchasing a ticket to [PARK], You verify that you and your child are vaccinated". That way they could take legal action after the fact. Verifying before buying the ticket probably isn't going to happen
Oh, and actually saying that vaccinations is now mandatory before buying, otherwise it's a bit of a dick move ofc. I doubt the bonus of not having unvaccinated people in their parks would be enough to counter the added paperwork.
INB4 Kat comes in the thread and wrecks some antivaxers' shit.
